Hi everyone ! I’ve been translating mods from English to French for a few times. For simple mods (one file), no problem. However, when it comes to more complex mods (ie : Explore Mod from KawaiiStacie or Automatic Sunburn Mod from Flerb), there’s one of the mod files that can’t be saved (as you can see on the printscreen below). Thus, my strings translated into French are not saved, and I still keep a non-translated file among my whole mod… I’ve been looking online to find the same problem and I couldn’t find it so here I post. I hope this thread is in the right section, otherwise I will delete it to publish it again in the right section. Thank you for advance, Screenshot hereFull message content text : Sim Data Parsing Failed The Value 1.04845 E +09 is not valid for the Sim Data type single in Resource : 545AC67A – 009BC58E -80F33D48FABE8928. Please make sure that you have formatted it correctly. All numbers except LocalizationKey and ResourceKey values should be in decimal format. PS : Sorry, it seems like that, for no reason, the thread won't let me display the pic, so I added the link to it instead. please lemme know if you can actually see the picture, but, regardless the website used (ImgBB or Imgur), the pic won't appear

Same problem here, I'm trying to make my own translation of the preschool mod by KawaiiStacie, and I can't save the changes because of that. it's really annoying, is there something I don't understand correctly ? (I'm translating English to French too by the way, does someone have this problem with other languages ?) EDIT : After a lot of research and some testing around to verify the solution I found, I finally know what’s going on ! And, fortunately, it’s quite simple to resolve. I’ll try to explain here. It’s a little bug that happens mainly in mods that are touching things that evolve with time. So skills, careers, and I suppose the automatic sunburn mod too, since you’re becoming gradually sunburned. What happen is, in your mod, you have « Sim Data » entries. (I always experimented it with Sim Data, but if it’s not your case, don’t worry ; just look at your error message and generally, it tells you what entry is problematic) Well, some of these Sim Data entries (sometimes all of them) have in their code decimals. For the « gradual » evolving. And it’s these decimals that causes problems. They have « . » instead of a « , » (for example, 0.25 instead of 0,25) and for some reason, S4S doesn’t recognize that as a decimal, but a two numbers with a dot between them. And since it’s not a valid term to use, you’ll have an error. The solution ? Really simple. Just look at the code in your Sim Data entries (of whatever entry is causing bugs), and search for the decimal, then replace « . » by « , » . If you have another message when saving, you forgot one, search again. Then it works ! And the mod will work perfectly fine (tested and approved) Side note, don’t be surprised, S4S regenerate dots in decimals whenever you change the text of a mod and/or you close the mod and reopen it. So if you want to change your translation, you’ll have to do it again. I hope it’s clear enough, and that it will help some people out there

I didn't have this problem in the past, but now it happens even with in game tuning files. I think it started since last year and it's pretty annoying.

GORGEOUS !! THANKS Sorry, XD took me I checked, in one of the personality traits for Sim, for example Party Animal from Twilightsims, there are 5 SimData files with this bug as it was in this photo. I changed "." to "," in all 5, and it worked. Cool. Thanks again
