Hey everybody, this is something I have been trying to fix for the past month when I had time. The past two days or so though I have spent numerous hours testing different solutions to the problem and nothing has fixed it. So hopefully somebody here will know what the problem I am having is and how I can fix it. So the issue basically is:
Basically whenever the Sim has 'normal' sized ears there are two small hole/lines behind the ear that show up. These get larger with the ears. However, if I add a pair on earrings (I am use BlogSimpleSimmers stud set) then the glitch goes away when the ears are 'normal.' I figured it was UV_1 so I re-unwrapped it, and did the steps to create a new UV_1 for it numerous times, and the issue still was happening. I deleted all weight groups besides those that were needed (head, spine1, spine2, and I was afraid to delete whatever root bind is) and have hand painted the weights to not have any issues that I can see. All doubles were removed early on in making this hair, and I edge split the parts that needed it. The vertex paint all has been painted the dark green color as well using shift+K. After doing all this and still dealing with the issue I completely deleted UV_1 to see if that was actually the issue. The problem still was there after this. I have images of all the stuff below along with the .blend and .package file. If anybody could let me know any thoughts on what could be causing this I would appreciate it so much <3 - aharris00britney
Images of the 3 weight groups from a distance and up close:
Head + Close up of the area the issue is occurring
(the circle in positioned where the issue roughly occurs)
Spine1 weights + close up of Spine1 weights
Spine2 weights + close up of Spine2 Weights
Here are images of the UV_1, and a close up on the area the problem is occurring (the issue happens on both sides of the head in the same spot)
(none of the vertices are overlapping from what I can tell)
Here is a link to the blend and the .package (package only has swatches for 01, 02, 03, and 08):
