Hello, As I am trying to export a mesh to Blender to edit it, it is giving me a message that reads: "The Sims 4 Studio was unable to locate your blender installation. Would you like to download it now?" Now I have already downloaded Blender and when I saw this I decided to download it again. I tried to export my mesh again, but that did not work. I went in to preferences and changed my Blender Path to: "user">Desktop>Blender" which is the correct location of where my blender app is. Could someone please help!? I am on a Mac and the current software is Mojavi. Thank you!

Im having this problem too, (and on a Mac) it keeps asking me to download blender! Have you got blender 2.7? (Thats the version you need for s4s ((as far as I know!)) How did you change the blender path? I'm going crazy trying to get the path configuring menu up beacause I thought my problem might be having two versions of blender (current, and 2.7) xP

This is the same exact problem I'm having!! I cant figure out how to open up the path configuring menu. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times.

The path you should specify is not where Blender's Shortcut is (for example, in the Desktop) but where you have it installed. (In my case, program files)

Loraninja Actually to specify I have that bar just there's just no settings option. Where your bar says settings, mine says edit.

Mmm, I know nothing about software (and neither about mac) so if this is the problem, I'm not sure I'll be able to help you. Just make sure you have the latest S4S version, and post some pictures so someone with knowledge can help you. To post images in a forum, first you have to upload them to some image server (for example, Imgur or Flickr). And then, post your link when clicking that icon (with the red arrow) and paste the link (where the blue arrow). Or using this code [/img]. (Or simply pasting the link directly and someone can check)

To change any path (sims, docs, blender) your going to want to click in the top of your mac that says "Sims 4 Studio" then Preferences which will lead you to that screen. Finding the correct path for your sims game (and blender lol) is nessisary, and the easiest way to do this is to open your sims application and on the dock right click to the "more" or "other options" cant remember and you click show in finder. Find the setting of view where you can see the order, and that is the order in which your prefrence box needs to be set! you click the "..." on that screen and match the order. Here is the video, because that was pretty complicated. how to configure game path

@icasims23 I know this is a few years later, but how do you find the blender.app file? I redownloaded the program when I realized the pathways needed to be set and the file is no longer there. I did follow your video about finding them in the application. At the moment I am completely lost. Currently I have it as Macintosh HD > Applications > [this part is blank where the blender.app should be].

There will be a path to where blender is installed (at least, that’s how it works on windows) you want to change Blender path in s4s settings to it. If there is no .exe file in that direction, then try dragging the icon from your desktop back to the installation location. mid neither will work, delete this version of blender from your pc and install 2.76 all in the same location. After you change everything, make sure to close blender if it was opened.
