It seems like as cool as that new game pack "Island Life" it caused my game quite a critical problem. I can't place ant freaking doors anymore! Seriously EA, what the actually hell?! Is there a fix to this poo? It is quite aggravating and LITERALLY makes the game unplayable! I can't play the game if I can't build my sims a house! It is happening on every lot and in every world. I will go to try placing a door and it tells me some poo like "Script Failed" and won't let me place the door. I tried turning on move objects (bb.moveobjects on) and even attempted other lots and other worlds. I have closed down the game and reopened it, only thing I have not tried yet is a repair, but I am not sure if that is the fix to this aggravating and game breaking issue... Please help!
My Current Mods:
-Better Bodies -Basemental Drugs (Don't ask.) -Go to School Mod V4 -MCCC (Master Controller Command Console) -Nisa's Wicked Perversions (Again don't ask.) -Venue Changes Mod -WickedWhims (Once again, please don't ask.)
If you guys need any further info to help me, just ask and I will get back to you as soon as I can with the answer. Seriously this bug in the game makes the game literally unplayable and it is both disappointing and aggravating. I mean why the hell did you have to go break the doors, EA?! Of all things! The doors are one things that kind of need to be on the house!

Shadow, EA didn't break the doors. It's one of your mods (or all of them) isn't compatible with this version of the game. It always happens after big patch, and always will happen. Wait untill all mods are updated. Go to school has been updates, so it's not that.

It isn't any of the mods, people who have experienced this have removed their mods ad the script for the door is still failing. The only logical thing is that they added the 350 swatches. Basically it's saying "HEY you guys wanted plain white doors and more swatches, well HERE! But the script fails though"

I am sure the creators of my mods will update again soon, the WickedWhims people are usually good about updating their mod, so is the MCCC creator with their mod. Though I agree with Poison, I don't think it is my mods since I started a whole new sims folder when I got the new game pack, my mods where not in it the first time I gave it a try, they are now though. But either way the doors are still not working right, not even the base game doors, I did also see if it was just the doors for the Island Life pack it was not.

If you started the game wihout mods folder they yes, wait until EA fixes it. So far I've only seen reports from people who use script mods. First they go like, "I did everything, there are no mods, but I get script fails", and then later they add, "Oh, I forgot that I had whicked whims, but that can't be it, right?". So if moved Mods folder somewhere else, let the game to generate new mods folder and get this script error then it is EA's bug, and it has to be reported to EA.

So if moved Mods folder somewhere else, let the game to generate new mods folder and get this script error then it is EA's bug, and it has to be reported to EA. I like starting the game with no mods so it is easier for me to see what new content comes with the game pack, usually I play around with it as is and try out all the new stuff that came with it. Then later I quit the game and throw my mods back into the game as well as my CC, then play it with my CC and all that. So it is not the mods because as I said, when I downloaded it, I let Sims 4 create a whole new sims folder with no mods or CC in it and played it as is. It was kind of still doing that thing with the doors.
Wicked Whims, though I am 20, I only have for the added realism since it does add the menstrual cycle for female sims and the use of pads and tampons. The extra skin tones that come as an optional addition to the mod also are not that bad and actually quite helpful when making sims. Also because I would take barbie doll skin over that pixelated censor thing any day, it also adds anatomical correctness.
In short though wicked whims as well as all my other mods where not in the game when I first started it up as I have said, since I like playing it for a bit with no mods or CC when I get a new pack just to check out all the new content that came with the pack and be able to find it easier.

Then report it to EA. If it has nothing to do with mods then it's EA's problem, and they need to fix it.

I am going to try a repair and see if that helps, since I did state above that is the only thing I have not tried yet. I will keep this updated encase I find a solution. Thanks for the suggestions. I will also check and see if MCCC, Wicked Whims, and the Other Creators of the Mods I use have made updates yet, like you said sometimes if a larger game pack comes out certain script mods won't work right anymore.
You said the Go to School Mod I have is already updated for Island Living correct?

Yes, I think Zerbu updated it within hours after the patch.

Well, thanks to a fellow simmer who messaged me explaining what the issue my game was experiencing is. Turns out they had an issue with someone else saying their game was broke in the same way that I said mine was. The solution was remove Basemental Drugs, as it was broken last patch and was causing the issue.
I removed it since I don't know why I even have it in there since I never use it or any of it's features other than for NPCs, and now it is working and the doors are back to being placeable without that aggravating "Script Call Fail" error. So my game is now fixed, thanks mmsimsmm!

This is what I was talking about! You can't run the game with such mods if they aren't updated. I told that you should run only empty mods folder with no mods and you said that you did this. This is very confusing.

This is very confusing. I don't know, but what I do know is my game is fixed now so that is nice. I did do that though, first time run I ran with no mods. Either way though whatever was causing it the first time is fixed! Thanks for the suggestions.

So would regular custom content be affected by this patch (likes hairs/clothes n such?) I do have a few mods, like basemental drugs, extreme violence, etc. Do hairs and "sim objects" need to be updated (since they are the majority of my cc, i don't want to manually go in and see what needs to be updated) Would i just have to update the bigger mods or no? Thanks

Regular custom content usually isn't affected by patches. Sometimes they are, but hairs and clothing should be fine. It's the script mods that cause the most problems. Sometimes a batch fix needs to be run on a particular piece of CC, but you only need to update the scripts/bigger mods. Thankfully
