Hey all, I think I figured out the major cause of all of our many, many issues with My CC not opening on our Macs!!! It seems like the old files might be causing conflict, which is causing the crash without an error report. Because of the nature of how we have to uninstall Mac files, it created the issue (side note, perhaps S4S should come with an uninstaller to bypass this issue, if it is indeed the problem?). Step 1: Uninstall S4S as usual (right click app>view package contents>move contents folder to trash>back out>move app icon to trash).
Step 2: Open your finder window and search 'sims'; delete all files/folders containing the words 'sims4studio', 'S4studio', 'S4S', etc.; do another search for 'studio'; delete all similar files mentioned before (make sure to watch out for S4S files within blender; you can view this by checking the file path in the bottom of the window. Also make sure to delete any plugin items within other folders that are NOT blender related).
Step 3: Re-download newest version of Sims 4 Studio 1.3.0.7, install
Step 4: Go to "Sims 4 Studio" drop down menu in the top window, click "Preferences" make sure your Sims 4 Documents path is set only to "The Sims 4" (Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 4) folder, not the "Mods" folder.
Close it and now My CC should work perfectly! (takes a few moments to load properly, so be patient ). I actually stumbled across this by accident ; downloaded the new version, and at first the My CC button crashed it just as it had before, so I gave it one more try, hoping that it was leftover, un-removed files causing the issue, and it worked for me so I hope this works for you guys too!

Hi! I'm a complete newbie here, I just downloaded Sims 4 Studio for Mac (the most recent version from the official source) for the very first time, and I'm having the same crashing problem when loading CC. As I don't think I should have previous S4S files, is there any way crashxlanding 's solution might apply to my situation too, or any other solution? Thanks!

Were you able to figure it out?
