Okay, so bear with me, this might take a moment. I was thinking about how to make (for lack of a better word) a mutant mod. X-men style mutants, with different abilities. I wanted to make traits that would give regular human sims abilities from things like the vampire pack or the GTW pack-alien powers. I would probably put them in the rewards store. I was thinking about it last night and it occurred to me: when you make a trait, isn't it essentially just a crapload of interactions? like loners, they get buffs from interactions with other sims, like the whole tense thing. And there are other trait-based interactions, like the hero of Strangerville interactions, where you can tell your heroic story, or whatever they called it. So when the vampires get powers, at least the ones I'm interested in like mind control, super strength, etc., it seems to mostly add interactions that the sim can perform. I know it probably won't be easy, but in theory, couldn't you copy the interactions, but make it so that there doesn't have to be the vampire tag in order to use them? And find a way to turn them into a trait that way? Cause I know people make traits all the time. What I'm talking about is the interactions, like hypnotize, but attributing it to a trait, so once that was equipped, the human could perform it. Please, poke holes in my theory. That's the only way I learn.
