So I made my first window and it looks like so in s4studio: however when testing the window in game I got this: It got all rainbow colored and it uses the glass of the old mesh. When hovering the window mid air, it seems to look normal: I looked through my mesh and s4studio but could not find the issue. Anyone knows what to do? (btw I don't know how to resize the images on this forum)

You need to share your package and blend files with us for us to be able to help you. We don't know what's wrong with your package just looking at pictures. I will say that the rainbow colour though is usually from the game not finding a texture or a texture being the wrong dimensions.

I will add the file first thing in the morning! (its night here now) But I did add a texture not looking at the dimensions for testing. So that might be the color issue.

The color issue is fixed! It was indeed the size of the texture. Now I only got the glass issue left. Here is the file: Download window

I couldn't tell from looking at your picture but I can see now that it is the wall cutout texture that you need to update to your new mesh. The actual glass of your window is fine. In the warehouse tab you should see a texture that is black with a bright blue rectangle in the middle. That is the wall cutout and tells the game what size and shape hole to cut in the wall. Check this tutorial for more information> sims4studio.com/thread/5001/wall-cutout-tutorial

Ohhhh I didn't know about this texture. And even with a tutorial. Thanks so much! Now I should be able to fix it.

Back to the window. I tried the tutorial like 10 times now. I understand the tutorial but somehow I cannot get the right cutout done. I tried changing the cutout info but the proportions are way off. Something seems to be going wrong. Either with the baking. When I bake it in object mode it will make a new image file with what look like different proportions and if I bake it in edit mode it doesn't look like the frame of my window. just a black rectangle with grey on the top and bottom. Or with scaling down again in Photoshop. I thought my window looked like 2 tiles on the z axis and 4 or 4,5 tiles on the x axis. So I used the short plane and scaled it on the x axis to 4.700.
