I made my first house with the Off the Grid lot trait, but there is an odd quirk to it. It won't let me cook certain things. Why does it do this? Is there any logic behind it or is Sims 4 just trying to give me a hard time? So far I seem to be only able to cook eggs or grill cheese with the "Cook With Gas" options. It does not really make much sense to me seeing as I have used a gas stove before and you can cook just as much stuff on it as you could where it electric. The being unable to bake also does not make sense to me, wouldn't it be better to have a "Bake with Wood" option or something? Bread has been a thing in real life since Medieval times and they cooked it with wood fire ovens, no electricity required.
So yeah just really don't get why these are things in Sims 4 when using Off the Grid Lots. Like I get it is Off the Grid so no Electricity, but you don't need electricity to cook a lot of things in real life, so why does it do this in Sims 4?

They really did not think that one through.

I wonder if anyone made a mod to fix this screw up by Maxis and EA... It is rather stupid that it is set up like this. Maybe they just wanted to make people pay bills and stuff in the game and forgot that people use mods to make them not have to anyways if they are playing a certain theme like Medieval Sims 4 or something like that. That would be pretty interesting if someone did.
