So I love animated mods!!! And if there's a video showing how to use it, I watch it. That being said, I'm have some strange effects in-game since Island Living came out. Here's two:
Animated Jellyfish. Latest update was to allow placement in the sea. Video shows placement without the MOO cheat. Footprint will not place in the sea unless MOO is activated. Placed that way, footprint places on sea floor and creatures are not visible. Work around: Activate MOO, hover footprint over beach, use CTRL + 9 to raise footprint so it will place on water surface. May need a few up or down adjustments to get it right on, or just beneath the surface. Same issue and workaround for Animated Sharks.
So am I facing a mod conflict? Or would a mod update fix it. Also, when any animations are placed at sea on the lot, no sim will venture off that beach. They will walk out until the water is over their heads. If you then click to a beyond-the-lot swimming location, they walk back to shore to point of origin and run down the outside of the property line to swim. Remove the mods, Sim wades out and swims on home lot as expected. Put mods back in and they will not pass that way to get to the swim spot.
I think it's a mod conflict as I don't have those problems in my game at all. Not with not being able to place them on the ocean's water surface, not with swimming to ocean parts out of the lot. So I don't think there's anything I can do about that, I'm sorry.
I haven't heard about problems like these from others either..
Thanks for the quick response. I'll dig into this more. I just removed all my mods and started putting them back one by one. I guess I'll try that again. Any idea what kind of mod would conflict? It would be nice to have a target rather than all-or-nothing.....again!
Ah, good to hear it wasn't something caused by my mods! About TM's mod, if you want to create pools or something simular like that on Sulani Beach lots, you should take a look at Kate Emeralds tutorials on YouTube. It let's you build pool-like "rooms" which work absolutely fine in Sulani too! (And lots of other cool things too of course)
