Hi, my name is Frey! (just made this account a few minutes ago, cause I forgot the password to my old one)
I am new to making CC and I was hoping somebody could help me. I just made a trait pack but I want to give each trait (there's 12 traits) it's own pose and I tried moving them to the mods sub-folder in my Sims 4 Studio folder(s) and they don't appear with the traits or anywhere except the folder for that matter.
Anyhow is there any way to add a pose to a custom trait that any of you know of?
I know there's a way I just don't know it and I've looked all over YouTube and the Sims forums and nobody has ever talked about a way to do it. But I know there's a way because I've downloaded other trait packs before and they came with their own custom poses...
Pictures and videos help if anyone else can show me...

Try finding an EA trait in the tuning files and see if its calling an animation in CAS, then try to add it to yours. I'm unsure myself past that. Are you sure Mod Constructor doesn't have an option? You could also ask in Zerbu's server for help.

And I'm certain, as I have the latest updated version of the mod constructor and unfortunately they don't give you an option to add a pose to your trait, though they probably should lol

XD I just posted tutorials to someone else about getting started with tuning if you'd like to start as well. sims4studio.com/thread/18279/edit-base-game-trait-aspiration

You mean play an animation when you assign the trait?

There's this thread from 2016: sims4studio.com/thread/3830/custom-traits-posesAnd unfortunately I don't think anything has changed since then. I looked at the HotHeaded trait and what Andrew says seems to be true. Can you link the traits you downloaded that have custom animations?
