Custom Skintone suddenly turns Sims black

So I've run out of ideas... I'm using skintone cc on my Sims (these if it matters) and yesterday they suddenly turned pitch black. I know that this usually happens when the used skintone has been deleted right? I obviously didn't delete it though (I deleted a different skintone set but I don't see how that should matter, also I think that was before they turned black)... I tried redownloading it, I tried repairing the game via origin etc (with an empty mods folder of course)... how is it possible that a cc file suddenly breaks when there wasn't even an update? I'm so confused... Any ideas? :( Thanks in advance!

Edit: I'm even more confused now. I just realised that this was only happening with one specific shade of these skintones AND when I went into a different save and tested this shade, it worked fine. Huh?!
