Hello, so I'm pretty new to the world of recoloring and creating CC. I've started running into a really irritating series of problems and I have no idea where else I can try to find solutions.
First thing's first, I can't find a .DDS plugin for Photoshop CC 2019 for Mac (yes, I run on a Mac :( and it is very hard to find tutorials or advice for Mac in relation to the Sims 4 CC world). I was wondering if anyone else has found one. I cannot download CS2 since it is so outdated for Mac that when I downloaded it it wouldn't even open. I apparently have to have a .DDS plugin for the actions that I am running (Wildly Miniature Sandwiches and PuppyCrow (Simmandy Unnaturals).
Second, I was able to figure out how to recolor some things by masking areas and inverting the mask to select the portion of hair and then hitting play, but I keep having this error happen where the lining around the edges of the hair are much lighter--like the full opacity color being applied (I would insert a photo but it will not let me). I don't know what I am doing wrong.
Third, I cannot recolor hair that has a shaved portion without it completely filling the shaved part (yet again I would post a picture but this forum will not let me drag and drop it in).
I'm guessing that this is all because I'm not running a .DDS plugin with these actions, but I don't know for sure and it's very very frustrating since I cannot find a .DDS plugin anywhere.
If anyone is able to help, I would be immensely grateful. Thank you so much.

Thank you for your response. I have tried that .DDS plugin and it did not work. I put it in the Photoshop Plugin folder as told to and Photoshop would not recognize it. I don't think I was putting it in incorrectly as I followed their very brief tutorial. I am relatively new to photoshop and I have had some successful recolors, but some are just acting weird. I have previously used Krita since it was open software. I tried to insert links to the photos. Hopefully they will pop up. If not I will link them below. Just in case: the pink ones are an example of the undercut problem with using the Spa Day undercut in case a reference for the original appearance is needed. imgur.com/utH1pu2imgur.com/alQmzadimgur.com/JFz6kNeWhen I put the plugin in and try to open a .DDS file I get this: imgur.com/a/liCBGWl

I figured out how to solve all my problems.
In case anyone in the future needs this info, I will post it here: fnordware.blogspot.com/2014/09/dds-plug-in-for-after-effects-and.html has a plugin for Mac .DDS HOWEVER you need to have a lower version of photoshop than Photoshop CC 2018. I have decided to switch to CC 2017 which is 18.1.7 and it will work with that. You can switch to an older version of photoshop through creative cloud. It will not work for higher than Photoshop CC 2017 and maybe 2018 at the moment since it hasn't been updated, also it cannot work below CS6.

Just thought I'd mention - I use the DDS plugin mentioned above, I'm on Mac, and run Photoshop CC 2019 and 2020 with no issues!
