Hi! Lemme get one thing clear... I am total noob when it comes to creating original hair meshes. Not so much that I ain't following tutorials. But I am way too unfamiliar with how to manipulate planes so that I can get the shapes I want, despite the tutorials I have seen. I know it needs lots of work and studying and stuff, but to be honest I am going through this for one hairstyle, cause it doesn't exist anywhere. I am reffering to Kougami Shinya's hairstyle from the anime series Psycho Pass.

The reason I am posting so many images, is that the tough part is not only the hairstyle's fluffiness and spikyness, but also its gesture. The back is tilting to the right in a way, but the other hard part is how the fluffiness exists at the front bangs as well. So it's more like a combination between kijiko's hairstyle
and Gingo's one (with a bit of manipulation for its gesture to be more on the right) simshairs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/1117-600x449.jpg
I have been trying for the past 3 weeks to recreate it and it's a mess.... Though the end result ain't that bad when you render it and it seems that it needs a few fixes, it is high poly because of the use of multiple planes. I am struggling with how to manipulate the form of it to be smooth instead of.... what I was making..... I also thought about clay which would make it MUCH EASIER considering how many hair strands you have to make, but I am also there a total noob..... Spending almost 3 weeks for one hairstyle and not playing the game until I finish it kind of exhausted me..... and the end result while somewhat decent, doesn't work in gameplay. While the mesh is doing okayish in render the gameplay has waaaaaaaaaaaay too many transparency issues especially with the countless front bangs. The backfaces are showing everywhere and the hair is pretty much broken....
After trying to fix it for 4 days now while following tutorials, I realized that the problem is in the mesh... many planes go through the head because I don't know how to make them hug the head on top while tilting giving the final form.... That is for alpha. As for clay, I am having the same issue.... I can try and sculpt the hair as if it was a sculpting model, but it wouldn't be functional in game....
So I am asking.... Is there anyone here who could suggest me a creator to make them or willing to make them themselves? Of course I'll pay there's no questioning that.
Thank you.
