Good day! I had an idea for scenarios in my game wherein a sim only has one choice of university to go to for certain degrees, thus I thought of tweaking the majors from Discover University so that only some and not all of the Distinguished Degrees in one university will be available as non-Distinguished Degrees in the other university. For example, the Distinguished Degrees in Foxbury will be Biology, Physics, and Computer Science while in UBrite, I will only remove Communications from the Distinguished. Communications will then be available as a non-Distinguished Degree in both universities, along with Psychology, Economics and Villainy, and they will be the only non-Distinguished options. I was wondering if this will be achievable with tuning so I used Sims 4 Studio to analyze various XMLs for University including the university module tuning, university majors, and others. I also viewed the latest tdescs. I discovered (no pun intended) that the Distinguished Degrees for both universities are under a tunable list in the tuning for each university but apparently, editing the Distinguished Degs. won’t be as easy as removing the major from the tunable list because this is what happened when I used S4S to try it with Communications, which is a Distinguished Deg. in UBrite:

I don’t have advanced tuning experience yet and I’m new to Python as well, but I realized that if what I want to do is actually achievable, it’s likely that I’m gonna have to use Python to make it work. I’m up to the challenge that comes with learning to mod this, though I’m not sure if a lot of people would want this to be a mod since this was honestly just something for my self satisfaction, so I appreciate the advice and guidance that you could offer.
