All my google searches are turning in results for tsr so I'm having no luck there, I feel like I'm being extremely daft/dense but I can't seem to figure out how to do this if it's even possible?
I have Leh's accessory nails in my game and I'm trying to make 2 different spec variations for myself but I don't need a duplicate of all the other info that comes with recoloring the nails (textures, etc). Is there a way to have cas cc reference external info like textures and not just the mesh while also having a different spec?
Links to tutorials, searches to try, or even just straight up "that's not possible" would be greatly appreciated! Trying to keep my mods folder under 1GB is tricky lol.

I think you have to put a copy of Leh's nails in your Documents> Sims 4 Studio>Mods folder. Then click "Create CAS Standalone", change the Content dropdown to "Custom", and select all the swatches you want to include for the nails. S4S will not add the textures to the new package by default unless you import any, so all you have to do is import your new spec and save. The other textures will be linked to the original package. This tutorial explains the process more in depth.

OH okay I'm looking at the file sizes again and that makes sense! The file sizes are so small there's no way it's storing all those textures. Thank you so much. Today's been A Day.

That's good! You can also look in the Warehouse tab to see exactly which resources are included in the package. Have a good day.
