Hi I am trying to make the Buyer Beware chest from base game into a functioning cash register. I am very new to all this so I am not sure how I need to go about it.
I tried to just add the tuning to the chest and selected "requires slot" but when I went to place it on a counter it kept telling me that it required a certain slot. So I removed the "requires slot" flag and added a deco slot size of 2 but the sim cant use it, she just waves her hands like she cant get to it. Idealy I would also like to make it smaller but that require a whole skill set that I do not have lol. Oh I also tried to import the chest mesh onto the register but i got the transform bone error, so that was a no go.
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you

The transform bone error just means the vertex groups inside the chest blend file do not match the registers. You should take the chest and append it into the register's blend file, then re-import to your package, so it uses the registers vertex groups. The alternative for your current situation is to export the slots resource/file of the register and import into your chest package to avoid doing it manually, and then also fix the groups in your blend, etc. I recommend doing what you tried first and just appending the blend so you're not missing any important bits for the chest.

Yeah I figured it would be something I have no understanding of lol. Thank you so much for taking a look at it. I don't understand most of what you said so I will just leave it be. Once again thank you for taking the time to look at it for me

Just wanted to let anyone who might stumble across this thread trying to do the same thing as I was... I figured it out! Kind of. lol All I needed to do was change the SlotTypeSet to the same as the registers and now it sits in the slot that registers use. My only issue now is that it is too large (which I can just shrink down with the [ key in game, and it looks just a little weird with the animation for the register. But I can deal with that! I am so happy I got this sorted out, now my Medieval retail stores wont look so weird with a cash register in them
