I'm probably asking the impossible but any leads is appreciated. I think I'm asking this in the wrong section but all the other sections seem to be for completed tutorials rather than asking questions.
Maybe this sounds complicated, but I would really like to know how to pull effects from the game for objects/sims/events/situations to edit the colors in blender, and re-tune them back into the game.
For example: woohoo hearts are pink or red depending on the type of woohoo your sim performs. I wanted to pull the woohoo heart effects and rework them in blender to be black.
I also wanted to change the color of the smoke effects for vampires to white or pink.
Is this possible? I've searched all over but I can't find any answers.

This is the wrong forum section. xD Either way you have perfect timing. Someone just made a VFX tool and it is in the testing stage. This is the only way to edit VFX and before this month was not possible. All you need to do is follow the instructions after finding the VFX and adjust the colors on the ColorCurve (right click for a color picker), save as a package and you're done. Any issues please make sure to report them on the MTS thread, same with questions because of S4S's policy. Note that these are overrides, and VFX are grouped into files, so if anyone alters the other VFX in your group the two files will conflict, so if this is to be released it needs to be mentioned. For example, I've been helping with updating a history mod called Timeless by removing the car and light VFX. All cars and related material share the same file it seems (you can tell after you hit edit, then return and click the dropdown list again, it shows all related files). If anyone touches any car, any effect related to it in that group, they will conflict. modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=639339
It also has a list exporter, so we no longer need to wait for a VFX list update from Andrew.

MizoreYukii Whoa perfect timing lol. And, thank you. This really helps a lot.
I'll try to be more careful on where I post. I don't write in forums often and when I think I'm writing in the right area, I'm not. XP
In the future, say I have a question like, "Any tutorials/Any way to create stairs and hand rails?" (That was honestly another question I was going to ask after I formulated a proper question and supporting body.)
Would the "Creator Help" section be the appropriate thread to ask technical questions / tutorial related questions like these?
Sims 4 Studio > Sims 4 Modding > Creator Help
I've read over the rules for that section but I felt like, because I hadn't created anything related to stairs and was only looking for tutorials on how to get started and finish, it didn't belong there.
Then I thought:
Sims 4 Studio> Custom Content > Creator Studio Q & A
was the appropriate section because it has to deal with custom content but again, I didn't make anything and am looking for a way to learn to recolor/create stairs.
If I looked under Sims 4 Studio > Sims 4 Custom Content Tutorials those only seemed like areas in which you posted completed tutorials. Any questions were related to the specific tutorial you were learning from.
Sorry, I don't have the best judgement and I overthink things. I'd like to avoid making a dunce out of myself like I already did in the past. I read the guidelines and re-read them before posting but sometimes what I need to ask or what I want to ask is not defined so I post out of uncertainty into the "General" thread. Or maybe I really am just a dunce and don't get fully understand the explanation.

Creator Help is where to post as it's for questions on how to mod/create CC or find tutorials of any kind. Only thing not allowed is adult content, piracy/breaking TOUs, and programs other than S4S and Blender.
Creator Studio Q & A is to ask other creators about their mods/CC in the Studio section directly above it. It's not related to creating at all, only help on how to install a studio creators mod, or if it breaks, etc. like Andrew's Pose Player or Teleporter, etc.
The area under the title contains a description of what the forum section is for. For example, Creator Studio Q & A says "Report issues and ask questions about content you downloaded from a Creator Studio."
As for your stairs question, unfortunately you're out of luck there. Only one person has successfully made stairs from scratch, and they tracked down every resource manually. S4S does not have the ability to recolor or create new ones. Your best bet is to, maybeee, see if S4S can read his file and clone it so that you can use it as a base to create yours. sims4studio.com/post/70294/thread
Thank you for giving me the quick breakdown. It really does make things easier for me to understand. : )
And darn. I would have loved to learn how to make custom stairs and hand rails. Not enough industrial related build items so I wanted to make an entire package. I really appreciate the supporting link.
