I want to give mannequins a realistic skintone. They're not normal objects like furniture so you can't just do a normal recolor because it won't show up in game. So i thought i was being really smart by creating a fullbody skin overlay of a modified human skin texture and make the mannequin "wear" that. But no matter what i do, it shows up in full black: (I took socks that show up on the mannequin and replaced the texture with the fullbody human sim one) What am i doing wrong here, can someone help me out?

Your overlay texture is 512x1024, you need to resize it to 1024x2048. Looks really nice in CAS, btw!

Wait, that was literally it? Oh you are awesome, thank you. I thought I'd have to change the whole UV map or something silly and i literally just had to resize the texture.. :-* I could kiss ya, thanks a lot! I'll make a male and a child one too and put them on modthesims soonish when i find the time, in case anyone is interested in these.

Im having a similar problem I used a downloaded skin overlay made by someone else I tested it. Modified it myself. Its not a size issue it looks fine in the CAS but when I go to save the sim or use it in game the overlay turns the sim Black. i used paint.net to modify it saved it to 1024x2048 dds used s4studio to pkg it.
