Windows 7, S4S version 3.1.2.8; so, I've downloaded age conversions of some pack hairs; the conversions themselves are BGC, which is neat and all, but for personal CAS sorting reasons I'd like for the age conversions to have the same pack requirements as the original hair. I've been using the Add DLC requirement option in the Tools menu and for a lot of them it's stuck just fine; hit the menu, select the appropriate pack, get the little window that says "Requirement added to 9 resources", save the package, close and reopen, and the little pack icon is now in the thumbnail space and the hair style appears in the appropriate sorting options in CAS.
In others, however, it won't stick. I follow the same steps for each pack and if I try to redo the steps after saving but before closing the package, it tells me there are no base game resources, so I assume it's stuck...except it hasn't. There's no pack icon in the thumbnail, the flags in the Warehouse are still set to Basegame, and the hairstyle appears only in Base Game sorting in CAS. This occurs seemingly at random across many creators; one hair from creator x will take the change, but another from the same creator doesn't. Doesn't seem to matter if I've added swatches or not, it just won't stick! I don't mind manually editing the pack ID myself, but that option doesn't seem to be available in either the flags or text menus in the Warehouse, so I'm just plain stumped. Any suggestions?
EDIT: Well, I figured out a workaround. Make a standalone of the original EA mesh, change the flags as necessary, import the LODs from the age conversion, re-import any additional textures, and make sure the Diffuse Map portion of the CAS Part in Warehouse matches the one from the original converted CC package. Shows up in CAS sorted properly (no more hiding in BG for you!) but this is still strange. Why do some work with the Add DLC but not others? I know The Sims has never been a paragon of coding but this is just odd. Ah well.
