Hello, I just wanted to create a hairstyle for my own personal use that combines the bangs from one updo hairstyle to a long hairstyle.
I already managed to dabble my way through creating the new meshes in blender along with the texture .dds files etc, the only problem is that when I zoom out in game, the hair disappears showing just a bald head.
Upon googling this it seems to be due to the lack of LOD's, but as I created the new .blend files and go to import them in the studio, I notice that there aren't any other LOD slots to import them to. I've tried fidgeting with everything to try and add more LOD's, but even searching all over google I was unable to find any way to actually do it. (Image below)
I can conclude this is likely because the base of the new hair used the female buzz cut (trying to use other hairs resulted in weird clipping of both meshes despite importing the new one), so I then instead tried to use a different hair that both didn't clip through the new mesh and also had multiple LOD's, BUT after multiple attempts using the small afro and mens short cut hair, those hairs ended up completely glitched in-game. (Image below showing how when I try using other hairs, the original hair mesh remains even when I import the new mesh for every LOD.)
Considering that I have no idea why using the buzzcut hair worked (perhaps because it didn't have an original mesh?), but in any case I'm really confused, and just really want this simple hair to work in my game without fading in the distance because I've been working on it for days since starting and I'm going crazy by now.
Any help at all will be much appreciated! Thank you so much!
(P.S. Game graphics for sims is already set at Very High)
