I'm in the process of creating a mod that separates the accessories from the hair. I've got the mesh figured out, so that's not a problem. The problem is that the hair color seems to still be linked to the color of the hair accessory, so that if I try to change the color of the accessory, either nothing changes or the hair color changes as well. How can I make it so the hair accessories (which I put in the hats category) aren't linked to any one hair color? Again, the mesh is not the problem, but the colors are. Any ideas of what I can do to change that?

Hi. Did you edit all maps by removing the hair textures?

Flowers were a part of the hairstyle, their uvs are in the space meant for hair. Set this image as a background, move them in the space meant for hats, select all with A, UVs - export UV layout, use this image to edit the textures. Do not use Make blank button, it does not make the map blank, it removes it from the file which disturbs its structure and causes issues. Use these maps instead

I tried it, but my mesh is either bright pink or my Sim disappears completely. I'm not sure what I did wrong. You can find my updated files at the same link I gave you earlier.

You should have not restarted the package from hair. The hair package has 3 meshgroups, you are importing a blend file with one. I checked the cut number and removed some extra vertex groups, cloned a hat, imported it there, changed region type, replaced textures New package

So I took a look at the package you made and was able to make two more hats! I still need to fix a few minor things (like the hair overlapping the accessory in CAS when the Sim moves a certain way), but that was really helpful. Thank you so much for being patient with me.

Hey, here's a link to my other two mods that I was finally able to finish (I figured out the weighting issues). Note that I have not added a proper thumbnail or anything. For reference: "Hair 1" is this hair accessory, separated from the hairstyle (special thanks to mauvemorn for helping me finish this mod):
"Hair 2" is this hairstyle's accessory:
And "hair 3" is this one:
And you can find the hair styles without the accessories here, here, and here. If you have any more requests of this sort, post here. I might be able to help if I have the expansion pack (I have all of them except Laundry Day, My First Pet, Fitness, Backyard, Tiny Living, Cool Kitchen, and Toddler Stuff, and I don't plan on buying Eco Lifestyle).
