for the last few days ive been having some issues with everything i create on blender I think im having shading issues maybe... Ill post pics below and blend file as I cant really explain. I thought it might of been a uv issue but I dont think it is because its the same with every object I create i created Stuff last week with no problem at all so I dont know what ive done. also when I flip direction of the mesh, the whole thing goes see through, i think i may of clicked something If anyone could help and tell me what ive done so I can avoid in the future or so im able to fix the problem that would be amazing xx Heres the Blend file (xx)

select the edges on the mesh that are creating the light line and press the spacebar, type "doubles" , remove doubles

"Flip direction" flips the normals of the mesh, turning it inside out, so that would give a see-through effect. It's used to create an inside, or to fix a mirrored mesh (they sometimes get flipped normals), and things like that.
-The line going through the mesh is from normals. Like already suggested, this can be fixed by removing doubles. -Also make sure your texture fills out the entire UVmap and that the seam on both sides have the same color, or you'll get a weird lighting effect like in the second picture. -A specular map (the grey-toned one, or the one with green/rey/red effects - I have yet to learn the difference) with effects left over from the original object you've cloned can also be causing the effects
