I have looked through some of the tutorials and have seen that the home screen of the program looks different for most people. This is what my screen looks like: My menu is completely different. No Create Recolor or Create 3D Mesh. On my screen, under Object they have recolor but not for walls or floors. I downloaded the Community Tested Version. I have watched tutorials and I know how to use editing programs. What am I missing here? Are the steps the same as recoloring Wall Art?

Hi mystiquebabydoll, Some of the older tutorials were made when Studio was new and only did CAS and later also walls. Since then, Studio has grown and now does CAS/Animations/Objects/Walls/Floors/Terrains and has new options for each of those things so we had to add new buttons and move some things on the front page. Now you have a choice between Animation, Build items, CAS items and Objects. Just click the option in either of those categories and click the button above the options to continue. For example, in the screenshot you posted about walls, just make sure that the walls option is selected and click Build. We are working on updating the tutorials, but if you ever have any questions about them, feel free to ask.

Okay, thanks. So for recoloring walls, is it basically the same steps as paintings? Because the video tutorial for that made sense. Until EA realizes we need the Create a Style and Crate a Pattern tools again, I am gonna have to figure out how to use this program if I want pretty things in my game.

Hi mystiquebabydoll, the front screen of Studio has changed a bit as we added more features. Wall and other build mode things (floors and terrain paint) can be recolored using the selections under the Build button. To start recoloring a wall: 1. Make sure there is a dot in the radio button next to the word Wall. 2. Click the Build button. 3. This will cause the Wall thumbnail list to show up. From there you can continue following the tutorials. Bakie has an excellent video tutorial showing how to use Studio to make walls that you might find helpful. If you run into more questions please post again.
