The OP was doing this personal use and I was under the impression she (or he) wanted the original hairs and the personal retextures without the bother of having to keep the original hairs and the recolors together. My suggestion was to merge the original hair files with the recolor files--eliminates the hassle of having to ensure files are installed together--or to make a whole new package and import Leah Lillith's meshes and the OP's personal textures.
I did not know it was possible to do what you just explained. I can't tell you how many times I've opened a recolor and painfully, one-by-one, exported each texture, then painfully, one-by-one, imported each exported texture into the original file to replace the original file's textures. I have wished forever that there was a faster way of doing this but could never find out how. Thank you for sharing that.
If the OP is having a hard time importing the meshes...well, S4S seems to be a bit of a memory hog. I noticed that if I have Photoshop open, and two or three (or six or ten, haha) instances of S4S open at the same time, my computer slows. Not too long ago, my PC started acting sluggish and it was because a stick of RAM was going out. Eventually, my computer shut down and wouldn't start up again and I had to replace the RAM but it was sluggish for weeks before that. I was asking about an error because I was thinking it's a memory problem if there's no error. If S4S is putting demands on your computer that your computer is struggling with, you'd just open task manager and start shooting down unnecessary processes to ease the stress of your PC, assuming it's not a hardware issue, of course.
Regarding the shader change, my understanding is that alpha hairs that utilize some transparency needs simglass, but clay hairs, since there is no need for transparency, would use simskin. Is that correct?

Yeah, I think if you will change the shader back to the default simskin, the file may load faster in CAS and this will also remove that weird shine everything with Simglass has.

Yes i didnt knew either i just told my self, well, teh recolor needs the original file for the mesh no? in order to do a recolor i need to pick any swatch in order to start, why not just edit teh original file, well it was possible, it loads perfect like any clayfied hair XD the file has the mesh so it has to work, well in deed it did lmao, and about the shader, i dont see any issue with lights or anything for now, im 39 of my 81 anto hairstyles to convert, is paainfully slow, edit teh alpha, save it, go to the original file change the swatches pallet, then go to PS use the actions, save and put it on the correct swatch so on and so on, but the result, superb, im losin gthe thumbnail tho but doesnt matter
ps: Im a he lmao, no worries and thank you both for the insights
