As some of ya seem a bit shy, i'll start i guess. This is my current undertaking.I wanted to make a industrial apartment complex but instead ended up with a pretty modern one i guess, lol. So, im pretty ...okay... with the exterior, i like the shape of it, and i do plan on making like a little park at the end and some "parking spaces" although there's no need for it, lol, but.... i dont know if it will be enough. Like, there's things happening on three sides of the hourse, but then the side where i plan on making the parking spaces, i feel lits kinda bland and boring. I havent put any windows there yet, so It wont stay as... bland, but i feel that even with windows it might be boring, so i figured I'd ask for some advice now, before i put a craptastic ammount of plans and windows and then have to redo it. So, does anyone have any advice or tips for me? What i can do with that side? (Im talking about the side on the upper left picture, and you can see it from another angle in the bottom right picture too)

That side looks pretty good to me. What I would change is those rounded walls/fences or whatever it might be. It just looks weird like that, you have 3 different sizes of these round walls. I would delete half of them or replace with smaller ones even. I can't really tell what would work best, as I don't have this particular building to experiment with in my game. But I really do like the sides without the curved walls. Now I kinda wanna have a building like that ;P

Now I want to know how you make round walls? And glass walls ? I'm so lost when it comes to building. Really how did you do that?

I think Paika covered the most outstanding issue to me (but it still looks really good overall!). I'd start with making the circular extensions smaller/more uniform.
Also, I really like the front, but the black structure thingy kind of sticks out to me, maybe try incorporating black somewhere else to blend it in better? Or, picking a less bold color if there's one available.

Thanks guys, for your help! I appreciate it :D That side looks pretty good to me. Now I kinda wanna have a building like that ;P Yeah, I was a bit unsure about the three curved windows but I just focused on how I wanted curved windows in both the dining room, livingroom and main bedroom, but i think I'll remove the big one in the middle, or perhaps try if it looks better with the same small size as the other too. Thanks for your input :D Now I want to know how you make round walls? And glass walls ? I'm so lost when it comes to building. Really how did you do that? Its a glassfence that can be found over at Modthesims: modthesims.info/download.php?t=556660You just make like a porch with rounded edges, and then you replace the default fence with the glass one in the correct size and color of your choosing :D I've always craved a creation like that, but then when it finally came i was to chicken to actually try and build something with it, so the whole intent of this build was to try them out and make something cool with it. :D I think Paika covered the most outstanding issue to me (but it still looks really good overall!). I'd start with making the circular extensions smaller/more uniform. Also, I really like the front, but the black structure thingy kind of sticks out to me, maybe try incorporating black somewhere else to blend it in better? Or, picking a less bold color if there's one available. Thanks Spirashun, yeah you and Paika are right, Im going to make the glass smaller or try and figure something else better out. I picked the black because i thought it was too much of the same colors everywhere, I thought a black entrance would stand out more (in a good way) but i guess it just stood out in a bad way :P I guess if I change it too white, it might still kinda stand out as there are a ton of plants on the roof of it, but it at the same time might not stand out too much so its something that's annoys people. Thanks for your input everyone, I appreciate it and will take it to heart, and Im going to jump right into the game now and try your suggestions out. Thanks

My little input if you are going to re organize the round windows maybe you can give a try to throw out the middle row and put flat windows there, it's just a thought Further I like what you build it's something different..phoe a lot of decorating lol. I'm curious how it ends up :D

Hey francienGood to see you here :D The flat windows idea sounds good, but I think i've done to much to reorganize the whole thing again. I changed the middle window and made it smaller a few days ago, and then i spent most of the time, decorating the first, second and third floor to make it look like people live on those floors. The top floor is the one I got in mind for my sims. Here's an updated pic on how that side of the house look like:

I understand yes you did a lot of work with this building, I like how it turns out now, think the middle round windows where a bit overwhelming, not sure how to explane in english :D it looks way nicer now. And wow! decorating the house lol..lot and lot of work.

Thanks francienI understand what you mean and that makes me happy to hear :D Yeah... I was like "I'll just throw in some decorations in the other windows to make it more realistic, I'll be done in like 15 mins." And then like 4 hours later I was like: "I think I overestimated how long this would take" Lol

Yeah, exactelly. My biggest problem with my ADHD is that I do get tired and want things to be done quickly, however, I'm a perfectionists, so I wont stop until I'm satisfied, lol. Maybe that's why I have diffrent phases with my games, lol.

I really like this apartments , can I dl it :D ... also a question about those walls , when i use them the light inside change , as there are no walls ... does this happen to you too , I want to use this walls but also i wanna keep that inside light , hope i made myself understood :/ Hey Zoshutzo. How nice of you to join us here in the thread Um... I've always wanted (and tried) to build houses and then upload them somewhere, but the truth is, I got a bunch of CC and no intresst in spending days, trying to find out which one's I've used and where the links to them are, Im sorry. But you're welcome to try and recreate it. As for the glass "walls", yes, as they are fences the lighting changes, I have this issue with the rooms that have the rounded glass walls and so will everyone, there's really no way around it, unfortantly. (unless EA fixes it, but... do they ever?) So, in the rooms where I've used the glass walls, I've tried my best to light it up with lights, to make it look more natural and so it dosent bother me. I've taken some shots from inside the house with a sim to show, and as you can see the lighting more resembles that off in the basements, but I dont think its to bothering. Unfortantly none of the shots are from day time. But I think, giving the apartment more darker colors also helps, because the white just gets this super wierd glow. So, my tip is light up with lights (You can also dim them, if they prove to bright) and then darker colors, so it dosent reflect and starts to glow.

Thank you J. Mzungu for reply ... I understand , this is the same reason why my building's doesn't end up for dl too , I use to much CC (if not ,only hehe) I'll try to recreate the apartments with all credits to you , because I really wanna play the ,, apartment life,, in sims 4 and your creation is the only one which look great to me so far , from what I have seen up for dl TS4 . As for lighting issue , oh well .. EA as we all know it ... Tnks again and I'll look forward to what you gonna create next :D , I'm not really into buildings design but I do enjoy my time with interior design hehe hunting for CC is one of my ways of playing sims hahahaha
