I'm in need of help trying to create cc clothing: things I have: Sims 4 studio marvellous designer blender (I can sculpt objects reasonably well) and photoshop this is what I have played with making so far. I am assuming the way forward with buttons would be to add them in blender after as the physics makes them seem too realistic etc. in marvellous. As well as knots bows etc. in blender belts! I cant find much info on how to much to size pieces against each other accordingly as well as that I struggled to make the collar line up on a faked placket. I also would want the placket to look more realistic I guess I could thicken that section in blender. I also don't like how I cant make the collar almost quite stiff and of equal sort of placement each side feels a bit too realistic... I suppose this could also be cut in half on blender and then duplicated to the side. anyyyyy info resources help gratefully accepted! imgur.com/a/oY6bfxjThanks!

Hi. Split the collar in half in MD, delete one portion, mirror with linked editing, and it will look symmetrical.
Fabric or patterns can be made stiffer and thicker by adjusting properties or/and changing the type of fabric.
As for making specific elements, it depends on the style. Fabric bows can be made in MD, everything else in Blender.
You could import maxis garments in MD thus saving yourself a lot of time when it comes to fitting and correct dimensions. You could also check the length of existing pieces and adjust them
Be aware that those buttons wont look very good in-game no matter what you'll do with them. Even when texture-based, they stretch, mesh-based ones look worse. Another problem with MD buttons is that they are very high poly, so you will have to either retopologize them or import custom ones made from cylinders.
I assume that you havent yet adapted any garment to ts4? If yes, postpone finishing this one, make a very simple tank top and learn the basics first or you will have a much harder time doing this on complex items ( as you see, you've already accidentally added something that is unfixable and would have wasted your time and nerves trying to fix it instead of progressing)
