Hi! First of all, sorry if my english is bad. Now, here's the problem: I've made some recolors of a basegame t-shirt, I've followed ALL the steps and it's like I've done something wrong, but I can't see it. I've made a dress before and it showed up correctly in game, but not this time with the t-shirts and I don't know why. I use GIMP with the .dds plugin. How they look in CAS and Sims4Studio How they look in game And no, I'm not in laptop mode

Hello maretabuniketa! Could you post your picture to imgur.com or any other picture hosting? Unfortunately we can't see the pictures, I tried to fix the links but wasn't able to do this.

maretabuniketa when you save in .dds make sure that you save with mipmaps (those are smaller maps that seen when you zoom out). Also you can save your file in .png format. If it's not the case then please share your .package. P.s. You can take screenshots in the game by pressing C on your keyboard.

Yeah, I know about the screenshots, I use Fraps to take them, but I took these photos with my mobile phone bc I was sending them to a friend via whatsapp and then I forgot to take the screenshots :S Well, I'm gonna try again later and tell you if it worked EDIT: It worked!! The problem was that I didn't check the "Generate mipmap" option

I am so confused and really don't understand anything... I downloaded some recolours online and they are all in package form... I have no idea how to put them into the game. I thought this tutorial will be the solution but it doesn't seem to be or I just cannot understand it... I don't even know where the folder is that has all the furniture and clothing files so I can replace them with the recolours.

Hi oolong, the .package format is the format EA uses for game content. Put the packages you downloaded into your Documents/Sims 4/Mods folder. This will make them work in the game. You won't have to replace anything - all you have to do is drop the packages into the folder and fire up the game.

It doesn't work the Content: Custom doesn't function. (nor has it ever, i've always had to edit the CC itself inorder to get a recolor made :-/ )
So Is there something i'm missing or is Editing CC not supported anymore???

You need to put the CC package into your Documents/Sims 4 Studio/Mods folder to have it show up on the thumbnail list.

Hello i'm trying to convert a full body for a Top but i want to convert only at the categories to use with pants. I have 2 issues: The first one is that i don't want to put the mesh in my game But when i put only my file the clothes stay like the first image, even when i Choose "creat a 3D mesh". The second problem is because same pants stay bellow the bodysuit like the second image and i don't have any ideia how to Fix it. P.S. Sorry about the mistakes in the text but English is not my native language. P.S. I'm doing this only for my game, because of that i don't want the meshs.

Hello! I have made my very first recolor of an alpha hair and it went fine, but I want to add another color (I have just the one right now). Always when I download custom content there are several shades of color in the file but I can't figure out how to get more than one color into my own package file (so that not only black for example shows up in game, since I also want brown). Can someone help me or redirect me to a tutorial that will show me how to do this? Thank you!
EDIT: My apologies, I found the online manual now and found the answer there, sorry for bothering!

Hi angelchan, this tutorial is about how to recolor CC. If you have a different question, please feel welcome to open a thread in the Creator Help section about it.

Hello all. I'm new to this S4S thing, so bear with me. I originally just wanted to change a Nolan Sims design for body vines into an accessory to be worn under clothes. The link is here. nolan-sims.tumblr.com/post/128607590648/nolan-sims-here-i-wanted-to-make-something-funI figured out how to change it from a clothing item to an accessory easily enough, but now I have a problem with layering - the vines layer under tops, but over bottoms. I cannot figure out how to change this layering effect. Any help would be appreciated. EDIT: I eventually found another forum post on the subject that solved my issue, so in case anyone else comes here with a similar issue, you can find your fix here: sims4studio.com/thread/2310/cas-sort-layerI changed the sort layer of the vines from 16000 to 12000 and it works now with only some minor distortion at the waistband on a few pairs of shorts.
