Ok, so I have a really big question to ask. What is uv_1 for in clothing? I keep reading about mapping it correctly but I cannot find any tutorial about doing it properly in clothing. Can someone point me out something? I don't understand if I have to map it or not, or if it should be resized to fix the body template or not. I'm just confused. Thank so much.

For CAS items the second UV map is what EA has used to allow the item to move with the body sliders. For some CAS items, like clothes, if uv_1 is absent or made incorrectly, the garment will distort if the player puts the garment on a Sim and then moves the body sliders. Other CAS items have a uv_1 but it can be made less than perfectly or even removed and the item will show no ill effect. An example of this would be a short hair. Andrew posted CAS uv_1 template images and a brief description of how to use them. Untraditionalnerd posted a tutorial showing how to unwrap a second UV for hair which goes over the basic technique.

Thank you so much orangemittens for the response. I'll look at Andrew's tutorial and UN too. It just seems a little difficult to me. :/ And do furniture items have uv_1 too? Like that Closet that I was trying to make, does it happen with other items?
