Hello...
Probably a stupid question but I updated my blender and now S4S is telling me it can't export meshes. Do I absolutely have to use 2.70 for it to work?
Thanks!

Hi chicagonative, welcome to Studio forums. Sims 4 Studio currently works only with 2.70. The question of whether it will ever work for 2.77 is an open one since the Blender Developers removed support for Windows XP in this version. The game will run on XP and so there are creators using Studio on an XP system. We don't have time to support multiple versions of the tool for different OS. Therein lies the problem.

Thanks for the speedy response! I downloaded 2.70a and all is good now.
Is there something I am missing to get the S4Studio CAS Tools to show up in Blender? I've searched for this topic but am unable to find anything regarding this. It has been a long time since I've meshed anything... Not since Sims 3, so this is all new territory for me.
Thanks again!

Hi chicagonative , Can you check Blender's File>User Preferences>Addons to make sure that it can see the Sims 4 Studio plugins and that they are enabled? They should be enabled by default the first time that you export or import a .blend with Studio, but there have been a few cases where it needs to be enabled manually.

Thanks Andrew. It was unchecked and when I looked for the tool in the Addon area earlier, I was looking under "S4Studio CAS Tools" instead of "Import-Export" and so I did not see it. Thanks again for the prompt help!

Sorry I couldn't figure out how to just reply or message florasim, but go to the studio and to the settings. There should be a thing that says blender path so change that and it should help. I don't really know how to explain it better or be more useful! I think it's because it tries to export somewhere its not supposed to so it's like what? Nope!

Hey, My Sims 4 Studio won't find blender, too. I have the mac version and blender 2.78, cuz it should work by now (and I can't open the older version on my computer for some reason). Also I tried to check the Import-Export box in blender preferences, but I don't have this option ... I hope it's all right, that I posted this here instead of the bug Reports for mac, it's the exact same theme

Does anyone know where I can download blender 2.70? I can only find the release details on the blender website, the only version I can download is 2.78, which is what i have. I've done several google searches on it but the only place I can find it from is sketchy websites and when I have it downloaded it doesn't even open it or it just opens 2.78 (which is the version I have). If anyone can directly link me to it or can tell me where or how I can find it it'd be greatly appreciated.
I own a MacBook Pro that I'd prefer to use blender on, but if I have to do It with a windows computer, that's fine too because I also own an old Intel laptop.
Thanks in advance! :D
