Hello, I am trying to make blender work with S4S, I downloaded 2.78,2.77,2.66 but I don't see Sims 4 Studio option in user preference in either of these, also the blender linked with appletini is for windows? and not Mac? Can someone please help with the same? :/

Someone else who uses Mac posted about how they got Blender and Studio working on their computer HERE (scroll to the last part of the post). Maybe that will help you.

I know this thread is from a long time ago but I downloaded 2.70 and when I tried to export the rig a message pops up saying that the blender is damaged and that I should move it to the trash... What should I do?

Well, exactly that.
Then re-download it and maybe S4S as well. Reinstall both and try again.

I've been trying to find a solution to this issue and I continue to come across these posts that have SOLVED all big and bolded in the title but I don't see a solution at all. I've done everything that has been explained, I've tried 2.78, tried the paths, tried redownloading, tried 2.70a, tried moving them to different folders, and nothing is actually SOLVING the issue.
The last post that seemed to go anywhere ended with a snarky comment of this "not being rocket science" and no solution.
So thanks for all the help!

Hi, I'm also having trouble exporting a mesh, I have Candy Apple for Mac and Blender 2.79b (is 2.79 supported yet?). When I hit export it says it cannot find the blender program. S4S add-on also does not appear in my user preferences in Blender (does that show up automatically or do you have to install it somehow?)

I use 2.79b. If you want to use it primarily, you still need to install 2.70 somewhere on your PC. Once that is installed, you gotta leave it as s4studio uses it (I guess maybe when it generates .blends). Anyway, that stays as the path to blender for s4studio.
To get the sims4studio functions into 2.79b (ability to change cut numbers etc), you need to copy the plugins from the 2.70 blender to the 2.79b version.
Go to here,
C:\Users\[yourname]\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.70\scripts\addons and copy any s4studio plugins.
Paste them into this folder.
C:\Users\[yourname]\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.79\scripts\addons Then go to user preferences and enable the s4studio plugins, and they should work fine.
This should work fine since I been using it for a while, but it's not officially supported as s4studio is only recommended to be used with 2.70 or 2.76.

Hi, I really want to make my own custom content but I'm having some trouble with connecting S4S to my Blender. I have Blender 2.70, I went to User Preferences, I Clicked Add-ons, and selected the right filters. I typed in Sims 4 Studio in search bar and nothing popped up. I feel like an idiot, someone help me.
(Edit) Btw I have Candy Apple S4S and I'm on and iMac.

I downloaded both 2.70 and 2.78 (which is the one that I downloaded from the s4s error message) and went into the addons folder and there's still nothing about s4s in there. i tried amending the path in s4s to each of those new installs of blender and it still is giving the same error. I reinstalled s4s and same thing (though the new s4s i got does look different, more options on the home screen). Is anyone willing to put up the addon files for download? I'm on Mac, not sure if the addon files are different.
