Hi Merry927, Studio should be accepting .png for everything including lipstick diffuse textures. If you're receiving a message saying something about .dds chances are that your image was not in the expected size. Could you double check that it is and if it is please send me the .package and the image so this issue can be investigated.

I'm using Pixlr.com which is almost like photoshop and usually works great but I don't think it has the alpha layer function... Been trying to make it work in GIMP but I'm not familiar with the interface/program at all and aaaahh nothing makes sense. Total noob question here but why is the skin/image looking so red for you?
then blot out the eyebrows so it looks like this. you may have tov adjust the hardness of the edges of the brush. simply right click. Once you have done that select the entire side that you have been drawing on, then copy it, right click, select inverse, paste, then right click again, free transform, Should look similar to this
When I'm done with all the copying and pasting and the tree transform my image does not look like that. It's all still red and when I import to S4S my mood turns grey
