I wasn't quite sure where to best post wips and updates but this category seemed fitting enough. Constructive comments and suggestions are of course very welcome as well. I will start with a small update: Colour me bright:Added a pair of shutters matching The Narrow Outlook window, the single-tile version of The Clapper. The shutters come in all of Maxi's original colours as well as my bright ones. The merged file has been updated as well. The set can be found here. WIP Dumpcontains items which are useable but not really finished yet, expect imperfections or bits and pieces of a larger set.

Sometime last weekend I got bored with the white dinner ware my sims use and started looking for a default replacement. Alas, I couldn't find any, so I started to fiddle out a mod which allows every override of the basic dirty plate to change the apperance of your sims' dinnerware. As you can see it seems to work quite well and my testing sim is enjoying her French Toast from lovely blue-and-white porcelain.

Oh I like the dinner plates too. I have to ask, what are wips? W.I.P. stands for " Work In Progress".

Thank you everyone. Wips are indeed works in progress, though the tableware has now progressed to be actually useable and can be found in my studio. The blue white pattern I used for the picture above isn't included in the current set though. While I still like it, I went for a fancier version of blue-white with a large central ornament in the end. Delftware is a nice thought so ... how about a simlish V.O.C. plate? =) For the time being I am working on some old fashioned texture replacements for the readable books. While I think the books orginal covers are very cute, they don't really fit the fin du siècle style I am aiming for in my game - and I assume some of those doing the history challenge might enjoy a choice of more old fashioned bookcovers too. Up to now I have edited the skill books but am not yet done in retexturing the little bookstand which appear on retail lots - which might take a while as their uv mapping is rather horribly complicated - but for those who are curious, there's a a first version in my newly established WIP dump. If you give it a try, let me know what you think.

The Pirate Queen's Retail Display: Fixed an issue with the specular which caused odd shadows and equally odd shininess. In addition I also added two versions of the display without glass cover, one with and one without the plaque. All displays are merged into one file as they share diffuse resources, they can be found under surfaces > displays in game and can be downloaded here. Lady Evelyn's Teatime Tray: The interaction queue of both items has been updated to show a cute icon instead of a wonky tray. In addition Mr. Chambers has requested a wider selection of cocktail to be available, so the cocktail tray now also serves Simsmapolitans, Sea Splashes and Ridgeports. Both trays can be found (and downloaded) here.

The Pirate Queen's Bounty Set: Single beds and bedding added. Opposed to the double beds the single beds only have a wooden headboard as all my attempts to make coloured ones didn't look very nice. Also, thanks to Jools fabulous tutorial, I added another version of the retail display, sporting the laser effect of the original item. The set can be downloaded here.

The Pirate Queen's Bounty Set: Decluttered and slotted version of the dining hutch added - because glass cabinets are just very posh. The set can be downloaded here.

The Pirate Queen's Bounty Set: Mini update, while most pieces of Princess Cordelia's furniture have a lightbrown/red and a darkbrown/red swatch, the ottoman has a white/red swatch instead of the dark option. This replaces the white/red swatch with a darkbrown/red one. Please note that this is a default override and will thus affect all previously placed items. The override and the rest of the set can be found here.

Lady Evelyn's Teatime Tray: Lady Evelyn's tray will still generate three excellent cups of a variety of hot beverages in custom glass cups. However, I am happy to announce, that the cups are now fully DineOut compatible. Apart from this they have been updated so their model correctly shows whether the cup is full, halffull or empty. Tea can now be consumed by children and can be ordered by them in restaurants (with the exception of Steamy Ginseng). Hot Milk with Honey has been added to the option. Hot milk, the best way to fall asleep, will of course make you inspired, because we all know that the bestest of ideas usually come to you when you are at the brink of sleep. The tray can be found here.

The Cookingbook: The doughnut recipes have been updated for City Living. Also I split the actual interaction tuning from the tuned object, so you can more easily add it to your prefered kitchen items. Pudding recipes are currently down until I have made them safe for Vegetarians. The mod can be found here.

Hey, I just wanted to let everyone know, that most of my mods are currently not working properly due to the toddler-patch. I am working on updates and will update my studio page once I am done with patching all files as I also reorganized them a little for more comfortable downloading (I hope). Until then please look at my tumblr for updated versions. Working versions of food related content can be found here.
