I've just received an e-mail from SimFileshare saying that I can register an account using the provided code . BUT...I don't own a credit card yet and I don't plan on getting one (please respect my opinion and don't ask why I won't get one) So the question is...is simfileshare COMPLETELY free or you have to use a credit card in order for your packages to be uploaded?? I did ask the person who contacted me 4 days ago but still no response. Please be clear in your answer... The reason why I chose SimFileShare is that in the main page it says free unlimited file hosting...--but I'm still not sure about it... And I wanna know if you use credit card and stuff before I do register an account.
~Thanks~

It is free as I understand. I use it and never have to pay or enter any credit card. The only thing to have in mind is that you can get an account if someone else give you a link. Each SimFileShare user is given with some codes to give to other person. That person can redeem the code and get an account themselves.
The other way to get it is filling up their form, and they would contact you some days after. Of course this would be a slower approach.

Keep in mind that their TOU states they have the right to hand over anything on their server to some other site if they choose to take their server down. Given that people use their storage for all kinds of storage purposes (even the temporary and innocent sharing of other people's items), remembering to remove things you don't want online in perpetuity or online at some unspecified site in the future (with unspecified terms and without your explicit permission) is important. Also, keep in mind, that unlike One Drive and Dropbox, which provide large amounts of space for free, the site is an advertisement site that exists solely to generate revenue for the owner. Given the size of the space One Drive gives, it's unlikely you would ever fill it. I have all my uploads on my One Drive, and I've yet to go over approximately 2% of the space they've given me.

That's a great point of view OM. I've also read that they asure to share the information to other webs if they decide to shut down their web. I don't find this actually bad. I think they see it as way to asure the user their files will never be erased forever... I've been trying it for some time and I quite like it. It gives me some tools like downloads counter and it's really user friendly when uploading things. It doesn't mean it could have their cons and it's totally ok to asume. I haven't try OneDrive or any Microsoft tools lately, I find it hard to understand. But that's just my preference. If in some time I decide to try it out I'm sure it will be a good option too. It's great to know the experiences of others in this cases to evaluate the best option.
