I wanna know, from object creators, where you get your patterns from? I try to search over and over again, to no avail.

SimmaFierce You might find some nice ones here: SketchUp Free TexturesAnd some nice pattern here (You do need to credit the creators, on the right side of each pattern you could find how you need to do that): Colourlovers
Example:This pattern: www.colourlovers.com/pattern/5422834/cc067Should be credit as: PATTERN LICENSE Credit must be given to ccpenrod & jjolimie.
Commercial use is not allowed. Derivative works are allowed, but must be shared with this license. The best thing you could do on this website is send the person who made this pattern send a "lovenote" it's like a Personal message on this site. You do need to make a account to do that though. You can also try to make your own seamless patterns, but that's a lot more difficult

webtreats has many patterns for that work great for upholstery. fuzzimo is a small site, but has some high quality seamless textures, including high quality leather and denim. You have to register to use sharecg, but there is tons of stuff there. seamless pixels has high quality seamless photos of mostly natural items. At deviant art (you have to be careful to make sure you follow each creators policy with regard to use and credit): Some favorite woods by pixedenxara24 has wonderful sets of fabric patterns. Lots of fabric patterns from Ransie3. sofi01 has gorgeous jacquards. And I just found starsunflowersstudio and will be going on downloading spree myself... Scratch that last one. It redirects to a pay site.

I just google what I'm looking for using google image search then modify the heck out of it. Like if you want a couch cushion google image search couch cushions, then find a picture that is relatively dead on flat. Cut out the pattern of the cushion, do some editing to make it tileable, and you are good to go. Bonus of this method is there's no copyright issue on taking a real image, cutting out a portion of it and then modifying it into a custom texture.
Once in a blue moon I create textures from scratch, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's time consuming, fiddly, and tedious.
