ok so i found a table that seemed to use the same mesh as that rock and was able to recolor it, i hope that this settles my problem, only thing i cant do is raise it up, since its considered a table, ill have to make some tweaks and obviously this is the finished scenery its just the one part of the mountain.

ill still take whatever tips for extracting these world objects cause i had plans for several recolors of these world objects in studio but if my game cant read them it would be a waste of time to recolor

Wow I just wanted to say that is an awesome rock! I've not done world objects, ok I tried 1 months ago a crystal but like you it didn't show up in game. Have you tried clicking 'world object' off? I can't say I've seen that before so I don't know if it would work. Failing that I would import an object I knew worked and look at what was selected and apply the settings to my object to see if it worked. Debug objects are odd in my experience (which is very limited) it may be that then tuning or something is different for them. I hope you come up with a solution, more of the above would be a great addition to the game.

thank you. i did actually uncheck the world one i also tried cloning the object instead of doin a standard recolor neither worked. i found a work around, someone had used the mesh of this rock to make a table with it, i recolored the table and it surprisingly worked the same , the finished product is in pics.

Yeah sorry I didn't make that clear, I'm running on 1 coffee and little sleep, I meant for the other world objects. I have often wished I could recolour the rock on the Bluffs island that has graffiti on it, but to date I haven't tried. Did you make your rock an override to make it show in the neighbourhood or are you using it in a garden? edit it must be a neighbourhood object its huge, sorry must wake up and pay attention.

well the one i finished is a table and i just used the resize cheat , this one was a world object and it was larger. The table i used was cloned from the larger world object rock so it was the same shape and i was able to use that, fortunately i didnt lose much in way of quality when i resized it i wish i had the grass on top of it like intended but im not nitpickin at this point

sammoyke freeasabird Here is your saviour! At least, I hope :P I've already unlocked al lot of world objects and I'm recoloring another rock too at the moment. I have to say, your rock looks INCREDIBLE! It really "Rocks!" Ha-Ha.. Ok, so what you need to do: 1. Just do everything you would normally do when making a recolor, that includes giving it a price (Important) 2. Change the tags, like you already did in the Tags-Tab. UNCHECK World object. 3. Go to warehouse and click the Object Catalog line. 4. Scroll down untill you see Common and DevCategoryFlags. I don't know which numbers it shows in your case, but change it to: 00000080 and save. 5. Scroll down even more! At the bottom there's something called "Unused2". Build should be checked as it's a rock, all other things unchecked. 6. SAVE and test out in game. 7. Let me know by tagging me ("@"bakie) if it worked. 8. Don't tell me it didn't work, it just has to! 9. Keep making awesome stuff. 10. I just don't like to have only 9 points.. Good luck!
