Hello! (I hope that this is the best place for this; it's more of a CC-management question instead of creator help, but neither is it a tutorial) I have a few pieces of CC that are consistently used on game-generated aliens (in fact, rather than generating aliens in their cool glowing outfit, they're generated with suits or rompers, high heels, and afros, about 95% of the time). I've included a photo of the most recent aliens generated for the Sixam party. I am aware of the "disallow CC for aliens" batch fix, but is there a way to disallow specific CC for random aliens without disallowing it for ALL aliens? (perhaps some value that needs to be changed, or another edit to the file) It is worth mentioning that none of the CC in question is enabled for random sims. These aren't my own pieces of CC, but things that I have downloaded, and I'm fairly capable of changing values and checking boxes in S4S (I'm using version 2.7.0.9) if necessary! Thanks very much for any help! EDIT: It's also worth mentioning that I ran the suggested batch fix for disallowing cc only on generated aliens (not the 'restorehumanity' one, but the 'disallowforaliens' one) and while it worked on most of the accessories that used to show up, the clothes didn't seem to be affected. So I was hoping that whatever changes the batch fix makes can be done manually to individual pieces of CC, or a similar solution.

You can manually edit the CC to not be allowed for aliens by opening the file in S4S, and scrolling down the 'categories' tab to the occult section. Just uncheck the alien box and be sure to apply to all swatches (they also won't show up in CAS for alien sims).
Or, if you scroll even further down, you can uncheck 'allow for random' but this will make it so normal humans won't spawn with the clothing also.
No clue why the batch fix didn't work for you, but I don't know much about them in the first place!

Okay, thanks for your response! I too am a bit mystified about the magic of batch fixes : All of the 'allow for random' boxes are unchecked with these pieces, which is great because they don't show up on regular townies. And although unchecking the 'occult' option for aliens means that they don't show up on random aliens, it also means I can't use them on any aliens. It is my understanding that the 'restorehumanity' fix essentially unchecks 'alien' for all pieces of applicable CC, which I'd prefer to avoid doing on any CC. Do you know of any way to achieve the same result as unchecking 'allow for random' but have that apply to random alien sims without making certain CC unusable by aliens? Also, it seems that some of the CC pieces are now experiencing a bit of the opposite problem: after running the 'disallowforaliens' batch fix, I went back and checked the 'occult' sections (and checked the tags, which include 'occult-aliens" and although aliens in the game have kept their custom content clothes, I now can't see those clothes in the catalog. It looks like whether or not I wanted to, I've found myself in a situation with aliens who only use Maxis clothes. Ughhh.

Just for the sake of clarity, you want the clothing to be available for both alien and human sims in CAS, and eligible for randomly generated sims but not randomly generated aliens, right? I'm not sure there is a way to do this, to be honest. I don't think clothing randomness can be made species-specific like that. Also running these batch fixes won't remove the clothing from already existing aliens, just prevent them from appearing on newly generated ones, so you'll have to edit those families yourself to remove the clothing- but once you do that you won't see them on aliens anymore. orangemittens can almost definitely explain all this in a more eloquent way / I'm only like 90% sure this is all correct so some confirmation would be appreciated

Thanks for clarifying; I'm not particularly concerned about certain clothes being available for random sims; if I can remove them from being on anyone randomly, that is best! Which is why none of the items in question have tags for 'available for random' nor have the boxes checked next to the Allow For Random flags. Nevertheless, they continue to show up on random aliens.
I want to keep the clothes enabled to use on aliens (meaning having them visible in CAS) but not have them generated on random aliens.
Honestly, it wouldn't be a problem if the aliens were spawned with a variety of CC items, but it's the fact that they're all spawned in two or three of the same items every time.

That's really strange, honestly I have no idea why it'd still be showing up at all if 'for random' is disabled. My only suggestion would be to double check that every swatch has it, not just the first one, since I know a lot of creators sometimes forget to apply it to every swatch. Other than that I'm afraid I don't really know what the problem is- perhaps linking to the pieces of CC that are causing issues may help?

I wanted to bring this post back from the dead because I'm also having this problem. First, all of my CC is disabled for random before I upload it into my game, so this isn't an issue with aliens being generated before the CC has been disabled. My game generated two aliens at the same time to populate an alien pub night and they were both wearing the exact same CC outfit, and actually their entire alien wardrobe was exclusively CC including hair and brows. I've checked the worn CC and all of it is definitely disabled for randoms. Their human disguise did not wear any CC, so the 'disable for random' fix did apply to them, just not to their alien state. Like peachesimblr I don't want to disable all of my CC for aliens because I want to be able to create aliens myself. I just don't want it randomly applied to any NPCs. I can't post in the wishlist or error threads here, but this is something that is in real need of a batch fix option. Others also have this problem: Reddit post 1Reddit post 2Reddit post 3
