Hey First: I hope I am here at all right with my question. Unfortunately my english is not the best (work much with google translate) and I don't know where I should still look ... I'm dealing a few days ago with blender. I've made only simple recolor so far. Now I've finally managed to make a new bed and have also managed to separate the frame from the mattress. The frame mesh I could import to s4s without problems. My problem is with my mattress! Whenever I want to transfer my mesh I get this error: "Your Mesh S4studio_mesh_1 has a vertex group. _blind_db_blanket_makebedfront_R_ that is not part of the mesh that you are replacing." i tried with the double mattress of orangemittens and with the one from annchibi, but i becom the error message. Then i tried it with a mattress of Veranka, it loads my mesh but nothing happens! It simply remains their mesh and there is no error. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I do not know me as saying, unfortunately, not at all good and break me the whole time the head of that Greets and Thank you!

Hi (est ce que tu es française ?) You must delete your vertex group : "_bind_DB_blanket_MakeBedFront_R_" in this menu : Tu dois supprimer ce vertex group :"_bind_DB_blanket_MakeBedFront_R_" dans ce menu en cliquant sur - à droite.

Ok... it's done. i removed them all... but now my mattress looks a little bit crappy? :D Are you make a texture for your mesh ? (If you have not a texture, It's normal) In general, you delete all the vertex group but here, i don't know !! You might have to delete one by one ( open your mesh after delete ONE vertes group) and etc...

Sorry, I think I don't understand your question !! You must create your texture in 2D software (gimp, photoshop, photofiltre...) and export the texture with Blender. I tries to find a tutorial for creat a texture !!

Back to the original problem: The different cuts of your mesh can be split into Vertex groups, in blender you can see them via the small triangular symbol on the right. Generally these groups are used to animate certain portions of the mesh, the bed cover for example. If a vertex group appears in a cut in which the game does not expect it to be, the animation won't work properly and your sim might get routing errors - additionally Studio won't import meshes with unexpected vertex groups in the first place. To get your bedding to work, export the mesh of the bed you wish to use the bedding of. In blender, hide all undesired parts of the bed inside the matress ( following this tutorial), save your mesh and then import it right back into your package. This way you should get a properly animated mattress and no error messages.

Hey all, I'm really pleased to see help being given in the language that will most help (we even have the lovely "One World" badge for it). It would be very helpful if posts in languages other than English had an English counterpart included too. This will allow people who do not speak that specific language (but understand some English) to follow along if they have the same question
