Maxis match stuff is very stylized and cartoonish in design. When it comes to matching textures you shouldn't do super detailed textures, or rather super realistic. I feel like this is a good example of what I mean: (not my texture, but I can't remember where I saved this from) There is decent detail, but the majority of the detail is soft and blended. if you add too much detail to the rock texture it will stand out, so unless you are looking at a re-work of the world to add more realism it's best to avoid over detail. The best thing to do is really look at the examples from the content in game. If you specify what you wish to work on (like, hair, clothing, etc) I can give more advice. For MM hair I tend to just use the hair texture of maxis hairs, as it it is a guaranteed match without much texture work.

John-Sims That's a good base, but none of the colors are blended and have very harsh edges. It's ok to have definition lines for maxis match stuff like that, posters tend to have a decent amount of detail depending on which one you're looking at. However, this could also be a stylistic choice, and Lineless art is fairly popular. My advice for that image would be soften the lines all around, and also to maybe add a bit more definition, but if that's not the style you want that's perfectly ok too.

linamints I'm actually pretty satisfied tbh with the result..you mean to "blur" the lines inside the image?...Well..that's an option too. I'll see what I can do to make it better

John-Sims That's the most important thing when it comes to making CC for your game. If you are happy that is all that really matters. And yes. Like for example the light and dark colors on the skirt area. The edges of the red color are very jagged and against the lighter pink tone it really stands out. You don't have to blur the lines but maybe just shape out and soften the edges of those parts a little bit. It's a pretty cute poster either way, especially for this time of year. Hope I helped some!
