When I decimated my mesh I used the same one for LOD2 and LOD 3. All seemed fine when I was zooming in and out at the park. But when trying to track my Sim after she left her apartment I noticed this. So my question. Which LOD is likely causing this? Is there an acceptable vertice range required for each LOD that I should use so that this doesn't happen?

hi! I believe this is caused for overweighting. Not all lods have the same bones, probably the lowest lod (ea original mesh) have less bones (or bone) than the other ones. I would suggest re-exporting the lowest lod of the original mesh again and using it for weight transfer. Remember to delete all the bones on your mesh first and save with a different name so you can test the blends to see if that fixes it. i believe i remember Mathcope replying about this, but i'm not sure.

Yes, I had this issue before and it's exacly what inabadromance has pointed you. The lower LODS have less bones than the main LOD and so If you use the same mesh the game gives you this weird results. I would recommend assigning the weight for all LODS separately. You extract the LOD1 of EA and transfer the bones to your LOD1, the same with the LOD2 and LOD3. This way you make sure you have all the right bones in each LOD.

I decided to work on something -simple- which i thought on my other mesh. Once I tested it, same problem with the distortions at distance. So I thought to apply what I was told here.
Once I click transfer weights is that it? Or do I have to paint as well? And is it okay to use a dress of similar style to transfer bones from? Or do I use the separate parts I meshed together?
Im sorry, I swear this wasn't supposed to generate any questions!

If it isn't a new mesh from scratch, it should have already have the vertex paint already done and finished. I suggest using the 3rd lod from the original package you're trying to import your mesh into since bones might differ from mesh to mesh and the problem here is that the package is asking for x amount of bones.. so if there's one les or one more.. it gives you this problem.
