I have a question that's always bugged me and I figured where else to ask it but here? I love personalizing my game and so I sometimes convert or edit meshes of creators BUT I only keep them in my game. Would like to hear your opinion on this matter. Thanks.

The TOU is the terms of use about the creators content. It varies a LOT depending on the person that makes the content. That being said you can find anything on people's TOU, sometimes it makes sense, sometimes is utterly ridiculous. I've seen some people deny the personal edit of their content, which makes no sense to me since you can't really control what somebody can do in their own computer. As long as you don't re-share the item with your editions or claim it as yours I think you're ok doing it. Also, there are some people that would let you share your recolors or editions if you ask them. I personally think that is the best way to go, since the whole reason to make content is to share with everybody. But I guess not everyone thinks this way.

If you're only making changes for your own game, my feeling is no one should feel guilty in any way about modifying something so it suits them. TOUs are meant for things you're sharing. Anyone who tries to extend their TOU beyond that is just being ridiculously silly and way too into themselves imo. I've even seen people say you can't share screenshots of their item in your own game. Utter nonsense. If you aren't sharing their content, it's your business what you do with it.

Ikr. Some of them go way overboard, saying you must let them know if you share a screenshot etc. I love making my gameplay individual. I resized a pair of fairy wings to for my toddler fairy family and I love sharing screenshots of my game to facebbook lol. This paticular creator said no recoloring but nothing about editing the mesh lol. But I'm not like that so I would never post their creation as my own or even say I resized them as I feel its up to them if they want to do it, but would love to post my gameplay pic though. I just love being creative and imaginative!
