About a year ago I had an issue where my PC kept crashing to the desktop, so I gave up playing. Since then, I've gotten a new PC for Christmas. This is a €1,300 build with an MSI Z93 Motherboard, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, Intel Core i7-4790 CPU and 16 GB of Corvair RAM. I built it to play Forza Horizon 3 at ultra graphic settings. However, with TS4 I am suffering from frequent lag spikes, particularly in live mode, it even happens with low graphic settings. I was wondering (calling all tech simmers! XD) if my hard drive is the culprit of the lagging? It's a 500GB taken from the previous PC I had, I think it may be dying, because in task manager, I seem to be using 100% disk a lot of the time.

Wow! That's a beast!
I'll stay in the corner and listen to tech simmers as well.

For the longest time i've been reading on the official forums how the game.. sucks in those terms. Ppl complaining about their machine overheating with it but with other more "intricate" or powerful games not happening. But you can try changing the hard drive, if you say it's old.. you'll have to do it eventually!

The hard drive seems to be the only culprit, because I have Windows 10 as my OS and the startups seem to be getting slower and slower and slower. My disk is almost always at 100% and it just took 5 minutes for me to open my browser.

Bugattiman253mph there is a chance that you have other problems than old hard drive. Like malware and other parasites that slow down the system drastically. Also I read somewhere that you can tweak here and there to make Windows 10 to use less memory, 5 minutes for opening browser is definitely WAY too long for such machine. When did you install your OS?

I disabled MSi Gaming app, it seemed to be gobbling up most of my performance.
