Ello The Sims 4 Studio! I am currently working on a project for the rigging of The Sims 4 rigs called IK (Inverse Kinematics) . I didn't know where to put this so i just slapped it here. There's a bit of awkwardness and background to this project If you're interested.
Background information: One day I decided as a small 13 year old boy that I was obsessed with The Sims franchise. One day as a small 14 year old boy, I could play The Sims 3 on my p.c (couldn't before because of hardware) Around this time I really started to get into this one game. The game developer was taking volunteers for making his game. I decided that I wanted to animate. Within two weeks I was the average Sims animator. The game developer lent me the rig for his game so that i could accurately create a sample animation. of course, I was not one of the people he chose to animate for his game. However, that did not stop me from continuing to develop my skills. With the release of The Sims 4, i was really excited to jump into machinima. the game was a whole new thing and I really enjoyed it. A lot of months back i decided that The Sims 4 (And 3) Rig was not practical for saving time and looking fluent. Upon research I came across IK, and Viola, It made my animations instantly better. IdealSimsFour and I had been using the rigs for a while but we others havent really gave them out to anyone. Now as a more mature 15 year old (hopefully XD), I wanted to release the rig to the public for other Sims animators to use.
Machinima has always been a strange fascination of mine, and with better animations, maybe we will get better machinima.
Note: it is still the same rig, just using a different system.
Goal: I want to revolutionize the rigs The Sims 4 animators use to be more fluid and faster. it definitely won't match the standards of Motion Capture but It will be better than normal
Check my youtube channel every now and then to see when it will be released and see how it works
(I recorded time lapses of making an animation with using the IK rig) : My Channel
(I estimate that it will be done Saturday or Friday of this posting)
