A novel by me. Seriously tho everytime i try to make a non default eye it NEVER happens. But with the vamps eye glow out i NEEEEED to make a realistic looking sharingan with the glow effect. Im willing to do all my vampire eye edits myself but no matter what I do the damn eye is never an option to choose from when i get to cas. What tiny little box am I not clicking that is ruining my whole morning Hooray i figured it out P.s Thanks to Orange for the tutorial showing me the very obvious step I got wrong. Now i have ran into a separate more fun issue . The sharingan has black parts on the red of the eye , see below I would really like to have the red of the eye all aglow and black of the eye not with glowage so is there a way to do that or?

Ok so what i need to know how to fix is the part where the toma's are , the black half swirls they are there you can just barely see them but i need to totally see them Also that white square of reflection has to go so if I could get direction for that would be amazeballs

ok i got rid of the white square reflection but caused shine everywhere else, pretty sure its cause i edited the specular wrong but still got nothing on how to get the black part of the eye to show up . The PUPIL of the eye doesn't appear to glow? how can i get the rest of the black to just do what the pupil is doing

as you can see we have some quality and clarity issues its very grainy almost like it has a "dissolve" effect from photoshop layers but there is nothing of the sort happening its very smooth in the alpha channel ( which is what it appears needing changing in the emissions map to allow the black to been seen. perhaps i should grey it out instead of using white. Even with it white you could still sorta see the black tomas so maybe it doesnt require full transparency to see it because of the glow. From a distance im already content with this cause i only need it for those mysterious distance shots in the dark where the sharingan glows .

Ok so i decided that i didnt need really to put the white around the pupil since its already letting me see the pupil so i got the dissolve texture around the pupil gone because i just removed the alpha layer i had put there but the alpha layer for the tomas i kept and this is super close up on it , its bizare cause the texture is smooth in the PS so i dont know why it grains up like this , the project continues i mean im already happy i got this far and i always use a face paint eye to clean up the look since the glow bleeds through facepaint eyes which is really cool to me. At any rate I still wanna see how 'clean' i can get this.

Haha I totally feel you on this. I spent a long time yesterday figuring out the emission map. That is the responsable of the glow color in the Vampire eyes. Make sure you save it with a fully black alpha and in .dds form. That map doesn't seem to work in .png. Untraditionalnerd has a tutorial about the emission HERE. There explains how the alpha works and what it does. Since this is a permanent effect, you need a fully black alpha. Also, since this uses the emission map, you need to make a clone for Teens to Elder, but another one for Kids, and another one for toddlers. You can just tick the tags for it. That's why they are separated in the list to clone. Otherwise, adult eyes will be floating above kids or toddlers face. See this: And, also number 2. Make sure you clone just one vampire eye swatch and not all of them. If you do so, Studio will only pull one emission for all of them, but they have different ones. So if you add a new swatch with a different style you can't make them work in the same .package.

Thank you for detailing what you were doing as you tried to find out what was going wrong. I had no idea what the emission map was, and couldn't work out why my vamp eyes looked so strange. I've not worked with glow in the game before, so it's all new to me. Thanks to your thread I've got it under control now

really? im so glad this mess helped someone lol I had a hellava time but success was had. It's gonna be so fun makin all my eyes glow for what whim i have haha . The only issue i still have is for whatever reason i could only get the human tag to work on one of the eyes which is weird all the tags were the same but oh well.
