So correct me if I'm wrong, but when I've pulled XML data out of S4PE or some other source, I haven't seen such well documented <--commentary--> in them. So that means the S4S program is adding those when we extract using the extract tuning function, yes? Does that mean there's a database somewhere of which tag goes with what? Because I'd love to just see that database straight up, it would save me a lot of headaches.

During the extraction, Studio documents the elements using 3 sources: the list of tuning resources, the string tables, and under certain conditions the object definition resource list. There is no single database to look at, but each of those sources can be browsed in Studio (tuning extractor, string table lookup, and object list on the front page), and all 3 of them can be searched by id(in hexadecimal) if you need to look up a specific number. If you have not seen it, EA provides documentation with comments about every tuning instance type: forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/909926/1-26-96-tdescsThat will give you details that S4S does not add that can be helpful if you come across something that you cannot tell how it works from an example in the game files.

Yeah, I'm comfortable with that much. What I was hoping for though (and it sounds like it's just not there) was a straight up list that went sequentially with the decimal data, something like this: 14639:<!--Mood_Focused--> 31949:<!--aspiration_SecretAgent_Level3--> 99354:<!--Loot_Buff_Trait_NewJob_TraitActions--> But with all of them. I figured since Studio was documenting the elements in the tuning files when compiling them, it must logically have a list like that somewhere to pull from when it populates the tuning files. An even bigger pipe dream for me is a way to better intuit which calls to the string table come from what tuning files. For example, I know 0x19A1B313 in the String Lookup table contains the words "Vampire Powers", but I don't know which Tuning file (if any) calls on those words.

One thing I have done is extract all the tuning resources and use Notepad++'s "Find in files" function on the parent folder.
