First is there a way to edit the turning so that only the the brew potions opinion appears and none of the food option are given. Every time I try the sims won't use it. it gives the option of brew potions but it never goes into the sims queue.
Second is there a way to change the way the package reads the texture of the grill. I will do cuts out fine but a want it to act like the way window opacity textures work . thanks for your time
The more important part first I want to make this grill autonomous and sim directed Herbology potions station grills 1 thru 3 three won't work.., grill 4 will work but still has the option of grilling food although not autonomously. so I've checked all grills in the game and they all work the same way when the when the turning modded in each way as these 4 grills so maybe I should figure out how to change the menu option tuning instead of the supper affordances tunings. Or even am I thinking on the right wavelength. Because it seems that some of the affordance need to be there for it to work correctly test grills
BTW Thank You I miss under stood the glass texture tut. the first time I read it I got the impression that it gave the whole texture of the mesh a transparent look I just wanted to be able to make only certain parts of the mesh transparent.

well unfortunately that didn't work somehow even though herbalism_BrewPotion is a different action it linked to crafting or food somehow. Im so much better at figuring meshes and such than figuring out how turning works
I managed to get it to work. Remove the two lines in the super affordances saying pot and frying pan and leave everything else. Then remove the two lines in the tags that andrew mentioned along with the hunger tag there.

If you compare <T>35026<!--grill_StartCrafting--></T> to <T>103875<!--herbalism_BrewPotion_Grill--></T> you will see that they are nearly identical with the exception of the recipes. If you compare <T>102689<!--grill_MakeRecipe_Pot_Staging_Basic--></T> to <T>103875<!--herbalism_BrewPotion_Grill--></T> you will see <V t="enabled" n="_saveable"> <U n="enabled"> <V n="affordance_to_save" t="use_another_si"> <T n="use_another_si">13287<!--crafting_resume--></T> </V> <E n="target_to_save">CarriedObject</E> </U> </V> in the pot staging but <V t="disabled" n="_saveable" /> in the brew potion. This makes me wonder if you are able to continue potions normally. (I think you can, not sure.) Try adding and modifying <T>103875<!--herbalism_BrewPotion_Grill--></T> tuning resource to your .package, of course rename and relink in the super affordances of the base tuning, to add the savable info. It's worth a shot
EDIT: I just looked into the herbalism recipes and they all reference the pot staging so you may have to modify all the recipes and pot staging in order to get this to work properly. Or it's a matter of finding which line on which tuning to modify...
First let me state thank you Very much both of you for your help. Those tutorials were brilliant!!! . although ultimately not what I was looking for in the end. they did clear my mind enough for me to see what I was doing wrong. what bugged me was the fact that some thing was missing in the process.In my head I convince my self that as craftables they were not food. So then The light when off and after going through all the turning recipes and such. it hit me like a mac truck <T>35079<!--grill_CreateFood--></T> and <T>35278<!--grill_CreateFinalFood--></T> and <T>102689<!--grill_MakeRecipe_Pot_Staging_Basic--></T> was all i needed to make it work they way I wanted it to.So thank you two verry much.
