so I'm editing a hair mesh that was already created by someone (for my personal use), and I exported it to a blend file no problem. I edited it and saved it, then tried importing the new mesh into s4s... but it overlaps the old mesh, so both are on the head as a mesh of hair. I'm very new to all of this... what do I do?

I'm sorry, maybe you misunderstood my issue, but that tutorial didn't tell me how to solve my problem.

If you've added something to the hair, be sure to check that the groups and cut numbers match the original mesh. You can read about it here, step 11. If you're still having issues, please share the .package and edited .blend file.

Please read this guide. You have to upload them somewhere else and then paste the link here that the page gives you "for sharing".

@reitanna I cannot see the content of the link neither. Are you sure that is the correct link? Did you give permission for it to be public?
If that doesn't work, can you please share in another host?

The first link that Brujah shared explains why you're seeing the rest of the groups. Please read the explanation. Your blend has only 1 of the 3 groups. And that is the only one that is being imported and being replaced on the package. If you want to replace all groups, then you need to export the original blend and edit the 3 of them.
