(Just when I thought I had it all figured out, and thank you to everyone that has already helped me so far in this journey!) Once again, I believe I understand what my problem is! I wanted to decorate (bedazzle, hah) a pair of nice shorts with some pearly-studs, and I seemingly succeeded in the studios file image, but not in game. The "pearly-studs" are just duplicates of the earrings, that I then moved down and duplicated several times to form what you see, BUT the "earrings" are still stuck to their original "bone", and I don't know how to make them stick to the bone of the shorts. Vertex painting doesn't seem to work, unless I'm doing it wrong! I'll attach a link to the .blend right away here: www.dropbox.com/s/em422dbf3e3c095/Berring_Shorts.blend?dl=0Thanks again to everyone that always offer their help

Hello b1rd13! Are you trying to make them a part of actual clothing or as a separate accessory? I checked your file and see that for vertex painting you used a color that is used for accessories (HEX 007F00). If you want to make studs as a part of clothing, you need to use bright green (HEX 00FF00). Also you need to transfer weights (tutorial) and do uv_1 (tutorial), otherwise the studs won't move with sliders.

Hi Feyona! I am trying to make them a part of the actual clothing, and I have already tried the "transfer weights tutorial" but must have failed somewhere along that way ... I have, however, not tried the "uv_1 tutorial", and after having tried that one the best I can, need a break because this is so much more difficult than I originally thought it'd be (rofl) But thank you so much!! I'll be back later to try again haha

b1rd13 from my personal experience, if I have any difficulties with following tutorial I take a short break and try to do whatever I was trying to do again whenever I feel rested and it helps tremendously :D. I would say that transfer weight tutorial is really easy to follow, you just need to keep an attention on what you click first. When you select meshes you need to click EA's mesh first (shift+click on EA's mesh) and then shift+click your mesh. This way you will transfer weights from EA's mesh to yours.

Okay, I took a day's break, ate too much ice cream and started again! Now the problem simply seems to be that the "pearl-studs" doesn't "expand" with the body! Like the Sim needs to be the same size as the model used in the studio
How do I do that then?? x_x

hi! Placing a new mesh part over another one isn't going to make the item function as it should. There's some steps that you're not doing. - Weight transfer. - Vertex Paint. - UV_1. All those steps must be applied to your new mesh (in this case the circular details). Please select all the little spheres in edit mode, press P then "selection" to separate into a new group. Follow all tutorials and apply the changes. Once finished, Click on the shorts group and shift click to your mesh. Then Press J to join.
