I have made an Edison style bulb and i used a plane inside to show the wire texture. But it only shows on one side in-game. I always thought planes would show texture on both sides and the object has alpha/transparency. What could be the reason?
I have used planes before and texture always showed on both sides.

Planes that show the texture in both sides have that resource in the LOD model. You can read about it HERE. If it doesn't have that resource you can add it.

do you only have to do it for the first model LOD?

No, you have to do it for all LODS and for all variant id that you find in each one. So if you have less swatches it's better. If you have one swatch and you add it to it, when you add a new one it will copy that resource.

i have 3 swatches but i only see 2 LODS, the other 2 are shadows. I changed the 2 LODS and all their parts in it to 1, but all the swatches still dont show the plane and its texture on both sides. when i open one of the 2 LODS i see there are 2 options: I have only edited the 'phong' and not 'phongalpha'. I assume the second one is for the transparent part of my object and the plane i need to work properly is transparent. Is that maybe why it doesnt work still and that i have to edit 'phongalpha' too? If so, it doesnt have a double-sided tag, which tag is best to copy to create one myself?

thanks for the help, i checked it in the game first and it was indeed that i had to edit the 'phongalpha' too since that apparently counted as the aplha part of the mesh. There wasnt a double sided tab for it, but i found that copying the 'usevertselfillummination' tab was the right one
