I have created some fireplace floors. I want to share them but I wasn't sure about stepping on toes with terms of use. What I mean by this is that I have a fireplace that was meshed by someone else. Even though I do not want to share the fireplace that I recolored for my own use. Is it okay that the fireplace is used in my image to showcase the fireplace floor? I thought maybe I could just add a link to the creators fireplace but I do not want to mislead that they have my recolor. I hope this makes sense and that it offends no one. The whole reason that I am asking is so that I continue to be respected amongst fellow creators. Thanks.

Depending on their TOS, most creators do not mind if you use their stuff in photos along as you say fireplace by such and such in the description.

Okay, I will do that and hope for zero problems. I am hoping that if it becomes a problem they would just inform me and I would take it down immediately and create new images. Thank you MisterS!!

I read this earlier, but have been hesitant to post.
I would never post anyone's pic without asking them, actually I would veer away completely from that scene, unless it had to do with a combined effort in a Project. Simple reason being, I have learned from the Sims2 modding days: There are some Psychotic individuals who don't take kindly' to anything - You could even Highlight their Mod, praising it, promoting it and encouraging others to support them.....and they still get unglued, because you did not ask them beforehand.
I call this, "Psychotic Modding Behavior". I only get Psychotic without my Morning/Afternoon Coffee. Post my pics, take my Mods and ideas - I could care less because I have a different perspective in my head. That is the problem, you don't know what that person's State of Mind is, better to ask.

Great advice Lod48! I totally agree about sharing whatever I create. It was free for me and if it isn't fun enough to make and share with others then why bother with it, especially if you are going to make others lives miserable about it. Because of the fact that so many over the years and through the Sims will not share is why I decided to share completely. I agree with crediting I think that is 199% fair. I like that some like to be asked about their stuff, it gives opportunity to meet new modders. When they will share with one and not the other, that is a load of it too, unless of course one has already abused the use allowed. Thanks for the advice though.

I've seen people use my hairs to showcase their own CC, and they do not give me credit. Personally, it doesn't bother me at all, people who like the hair will undoubtedly submit a WCIF for the hair, if they liked it. The thing that does irritate me is when people ask one simmer a WCIF for my CC, and instead of giving them the proper link, they just link to my homepage. That's all sorts of lazy.
