I'm glad you figured it out! :D Here's kitkat's tutorial on making an RGB specular. It's for objects but the same principles apply for clothing. Orangemittens also has a thread showing how the specular affects clothing. The reason the .png version of the specular is so light is because it's a composited form of the specular. The .dds shows each color channel (what effects are applied and how strong the effects are) and the alpha channel (how strong the specular is overall).

YASS! So apparently it all fixed it... although now I wanna make a bump map (especially for the belt) and sadly no matter how much I tweaked the UV_1 it always looks wonky... so I'll try unwrapping one myself by following this tutorial... wish me luck? ;3; Does anyone know where I can find a good tutorial on how to make good bump maps? I'm not sure how to use NVidia's plugin for Photoshop, by following this tutorial it only created gray squares and nothing else...

Yay! c: And good luck with the uv1 (they always give me trouble). I personally don't like using the plugin because it's hard for me to see what the normal map really looks like in that little window before hitting okay, so I use the webapp in this tutorial by MisterS. It lets you see exactly how detailed the normal map will be on a model of your choosing, and imo it's a little more intuitive than the plugin.

NNNNOOOOO!! It's doing it again!! I thought it was fixed because I checked in CAS, and it looked kinda okay... but no, ingame it still does this! ;A; HELP! I re-checked the package and the Specular looks fine! I even cleaned the cache files in both TS4 and Origin, to no avail :C First post updated: what did I do wrong? ;_; Package and Blend files HERE.

Obviously this wouldn't work if you were editing the specular more extensively, but I exported the specular from the original dress and edited only the mask (I replaced it with the alpha channel from your texture edit). Then I imported the edited mask and original specular into your .package.
It seemed to fix the problem, though I honestly can't tell very well as the specular issue only showed in my game when I zoomed pretty far out. I think there's some problem occurring when you're importing or exporting the specular, but I can't say for sure.

Yeah the issue shows when you zoom out... when you're zoomed fully in it won't show, it's just a minor glitch. HOWEVER as a perfectionist it really, really bugs me and I need to find a fix for this. I did try now editing the mask only as you did, yet nothing changed for me... this is nuts :/ What kind of problem could it be when I import/export the specular? It could totally be my fault since this is my very first attempt at meshing/recolouring ever and I'm a colossal disaster x° To export the specular I just click on the "Specular" section in the Texture tab from the Studio, then "Export". To import, same thing, just "Import". I've been told to try in .png (which I did the first time), then .dds, then to try from the Warehouse at it may be a glitch with the Harmony version of S4S... but nope. No luck. Though now that I think about it..... may it be a MIP map issue? When zoomed in, no problem. As you zoom out and switch to lower LODs (and lower quality textures) the issue shows up... mhhh. EDIT: I just tried to open the Specular Mask's .dds in Photoshop by checking "Load MIP maps" but it all looks correct... GDI.

Just did a quick test and by making the green part all black it seems to have fixed it on my end. Try that and post again to let us know if it worked for you.
